At last,the England we know can play,I always felt that we were still in the game when others said we would probably lose

The Aussie bowling attack is the worst they have had since the 80's,probably further back

At 309/1 a lead of 88,there is now only one team that can win this game,although a draw looks the most likely outcome

We must go out in the morning very positive and aim to get a 260-270 lead ad soon as possible and give ourselves maybe 50 overs to have a go at them

You have to remember that with a Captain born in Jo'burg and a manager born in Cape Town they tend to be very negative.

 

Also it is impotant not to lose the 1st test so I think no decleration will come from England till they have at least a lead of 300 and thus ensure the draw at least.

 

But hey what do I know.

Alot will depend on what happens when Australia bowl,especially their spinners

If the spinners are getting good amounts of turn then I think Strauss may just back swann to have a right go at them
