Great banter at Witham last night! Although we lost in the end with a re-shuffled team,it was a good laugh and the chance to see some of our good youngsters.Nothing taken away from Witham win even if 3-1 flatters a bit.I wish all games would be played in the same spirit like last night and if I had to moan about something then the non-appearance from the match officials after the game hasn't gone down well. After all it's all forgotten after the match but they were young and they have to get used to Non League footie.grin.gif Hi WTFC wavesmilewinkgrin.gif

Was in attendance at Oakside last night, Barkingside deserved to win and a great 2nd goal from Tolan.

BGU must be bitterly disappointed to go out of the cup as holders. Some of their players (left back and number 8) were very poor and the manager should consider dropping them and potentially releasing them. Clearly not good enough for senior football.

My tip for the cup: Barkingside

Talking of youngsters getting their chance, it was good to see Tyrone get a full game after 2 sub appearances.

Were you naughty to the match officials then?.cheesy%20(2).gif Dear Essex FA.....dance%20(2).gif

It was a brilliant laugh, we couldn't resist. Did you hear "Stansted's 5hit but there better than you" chants.

They all turned out for you behind the goal, some kind of backhanded compliment i suppose.

well done to barkingside last night hope you go and win it, i hope they do for jimmy there chairmen, cause all the hard work he does @ barkingside he deserves some succes, any way agent straham the second goal and first was a pen's and the second goal was saved by are Gk and then bounced over the line so where was that the craker you was talking about, and your right the whole defence was poor last night, but just so you no we never had a player wearing number 8 last night  .

The second goal was a good goal.... Just my opinion, sounds like sour grapes to me. Did you not have a number 8 then last night? Oh dear my eyesight is definetly getting worse, must have been number 18 then maybe.

Anyway, is your full focus on the league then?

Are you disappointed to go out of the cup as you felt this was a winnable competition?

Do you feel Ryan Lee has settled well since his move from Takeley?

so scoring a pen and gk saving it and it going in of the post his a great goal. mmmmm well football is about opinions so we can agree to disagree, yeah we had a 18 out there that was are striker who i thought had a very good game, always hate to lose matches so yes im disapointed, good luck to barkingside hope they win it and yes Ryan Lee has selted really well top player and scored his first goal for us last night shame he was on the losing team cause he played well.

and Mark i think he should be sacked shocking losing last night

That fella on the tannoy was getting quite excited that gave the 2nd goal to Whitnell when our gk punched into his own net and put down 16 years old striker Tom Ranger as our goalscorer when really it was the other terror kid 17 years-old Essex County striker Jacob Cleaver that got the final touch and was our man of the match. It wasn't only me moaning at the non appearance from the match officials after the match...and at the end of the day it was Danny G that got sent off for arguing with the refgrin.gifApart that great sausages and chips and good banter mateicon29.gif

Your goalscorer.

Always ask in the visitors dugout, that was the name shouted out by whoever was sitting nearest to the boardroom end of the dugout when the ball went in the net.

That is harsh on your keeper, that was Rob's goal. We were standing behind the goal about a foot away, you were 3 miles down the road.dance%20(2).gif

The way you celebrated your goal in front of us, we felt that you needed us in your ear ole.cheesy%20(2).gif Plan was if winning come round with 5 minutes to go, if losing slip into the bar and disappear, but as we were witnessing a superb display from our boys we were able to come and see you.:applaus:

Good night Mark and although we lost I really enjoyed the atmosphere.More games like thiswink.gif

Luckily for us we had the Ipswich Town season ticket lads behind the goal, as they were not at Portman Road, think Ipswich home this weekend so unfortunatley wont have them at BGU Saturday, but they will be there for Stansted as Ipswich Away on 11th..

Loved it, we were laughing behind the goal at our own jokes.

The only game we had like it last season was away to Bowers & PItsea, love the old banter with the oppo.

With Stansteds title last season, i am hoping they will have some lads behind their goal who can make a bit of noise, if they do the 11th should be a cracker.:futbolbud2:

Looking forward to the re-match - some time in March, isn't it?

Correct, Sat 19th, i am just hoping that it will stay as a Saturday. Last season we were due to play Enfiled away on a Saturday and it got changed to midweek as we had to play the Brasted semi on the Saturday, shame as Enfield would have been awesome at a weekend Especially the timing of late in the season, this season we played them too early away. Never mind,. Fingers crossed we meet on the 19th.
