it ended 3-2 to marlow after extra time

to sum up the game it was Jacko vs Mason and mason eventually won.

Jacko made a heck of a lot of great saves to keep us in it for as long as possible.

it was a pretty boring game most of the time though.

MoM Jacko by a landslide.

Yep Jacko was superb ...for Slough ...

and Leigh Mason was for Marlow ...

The match was entertainment and a comedy at times too..so many mistakes and missed easy goals !

The Marlow 2nd Goal was off side by a country mile ... and should have never been allowed but what can you say the B & B officals were the same

for both teams... not very good !

see you saturday if the weather holds...

That would be the same throughout the B&BC last night... shocking display over at The Gore! Baffled both teams with his "no sided" decisions. B&B Refs need a shake up, any chance we can borrow some from Ireland next season?

Ive commented several times on the lack of stamina and fitness of some of our squad which was very apparant in extra time yesterday. I do wonder if the decision to play an almost full strength team in an inconsequential cup game 4 days before we play the second team in the league will rebound on us.

You say SB played an almost full strength team but absent from the starting eleven were:

Sweeney, Perkins, Murphy, Sinclair, Abbey, Swift and Burnell.

What other players do you think should have started the game?

exactly other than playing youth players we didn't have anyone else to play. Sweeney and Murphy particularly deserve a bit of a rest those 2 play basically all of every game

My point wasnt really about who should have played. In my opinion some of our least fit players did play and should have been rested We will see towards the end on Saturday if my opinion is correct. Although there have been a few recent successes our position is still poor. Last year after 16 games we had 34 points and 3 losses Currently we have 25 points from 16 games and 7 losses (we only lost 11 all last season) and we have played a disproportionate number of the poorer teams this year already. We really cant afford many more losses if we are to have any hope of the play-offs.
