Detective Work Part 2

Recommended Posts

An Essex senior league team is struggling financially. These financial struggles have become so bad they face administration and a 10 point deduction. Emergency talks have been held between top brass in the league about what action needs to be taken. I know this because my mate Eric has connections on the Bowers and Pitsea committee and there have been talks of a an unlikely merger between these two bitter rivals. The plan is to make the two clubs into one "super" club to dominate the Basildon and Pitsea area. I don't want to name the club in question. The initial plan is to sell both the grounds and build a new ground. I think they are toying with the name Bowers and Basildon United FC. If this comes off I think we could see them shoot up the non league pyramid like AFC wimbledon did.

How many more clubs at this level are in the area ???

Sorry, it is projected that if this comes off they will have a playing budget of near to £1000 a week so will be able to contend with the top guns at this level like Burnham Ramblers (My mate says they have £1500 a week), Enfield (£900), Bethnal Green (£800), Witham (£1200).

I was really surprised to hear the amounts of money spent at this level. My connections at Tilbury in the Ryman league say they allocate £600 to management and playing staff. Although when I saw Lowestoft Town and concord Rangers last season (the two promoted teams) it is easy to see where their £5000 a week is going.

Hi are you a real detective? There are some people on here claiming other people's identities. Can you make a trace between the user and the IP address to nail these cretins?

"Burnham Ramblers (My mate says they have £1500 a week), "

You really are a wind up merchant. Please divulge who your friend is as they should be sent to the looney asylum. I can safely say hand on heart that Burnham Ramblers have no budget what-so-ever.

I should know as I'm the manager. I'd love to have that sort of money as I think you could challenge in the Ryman North let alone the ESL.

I can't comment on the other clubs mentioned but I'm sure GAFFA, WA WTFC will do so

Sorry - nothing on a public forum can be matter of fact. I have been presented no evidence to support your theory that you are, in fact, the Burnham manager. Even if you are, you are hardly going to discuss your budget (or lack of one as you claim). My mate is very reliable and someone I trust so I am going to have to back him up on this one.

Mark Hoffman - a convicted fraudster, so either you are very unfortunate to be his namesake or you have chosen this name to hide behind all of your slanderous comments

I am the Burnham Ramblers manager, my name is Keith Wilson and if I had £1500 per week budget I'd let everyone know as I have nothing to hide. Like a lot of managers at this level we have our hands tied and I am grateful to Billy Hannan & Shaun Pugh for giving me the oppurtunity to manage the club, which is something I am really enjoying.

What I don't appreciate is people spouting straight forward lies and if it was done to wind me up then Congratulations as it has worked. I have worked hard since my appointment to get a side together that is able to compete with the more established teams in the league, and by that I mean sides who have been together for longer than a season (BGU, Stansted, Witham) regardless of whether they pay a budget or not and hopefully we are starting to do that.

Finally, I'd love to know where you get your information from about BRFC as it is a little way off the A13, I should know as I live in one of the towns off the A13 and I thought that you only watched football at clubs that are on the A13 ???

LOL, great post.

Everyone knows that Basildon United cannot sell their ground, as it's been under a compulsory purchase order for the past 20 odd years by English Partnerships (Basil-Don may put me right here) and Bowers & Pitsea's ground is owned by the "Membership" of the Bowers United Sports & Social Club, unless ths has changed without someone telling the members, me included.

I have a theory Mark Hoffman why i think you are a wind up merchant.

First one is that the clubs you have targeted for rumour are the ones that anyone who reads this forum knows there are posters from Burnham, BGU, Witham, Enfield. Basildon, Bowers.

I would love to know if you have any rumours on the clubs who dont post on here, London Apsa, Sawbo, Barkingside, Mauritius. I am sure you are looking for a bite and succeding with Burnham & Bowers.

No posts and then about 27 in 3 days.... i rest my case.dance%20(2).gif

Now where is Coachie. and Hullbridge in your rumour mill.

LOL Kirk, he's growing on me. The forum has needed a shot in the arm for a long time now and anyone who can generate the bites (From me too) that Mark Hoffman has, has to be applauded.

In fact, he is very Rhodesesque... Hmmm. Great button pushing, including excellent grammar and punctuation!!!

I just wish Smallsy and Kaiser Jnr were here to lump on!!!!

Good morning forum. It seems I have a few replies to get through so I willl get straight on and tackle them. To confirm, I am in work and I am not posting from home. Can my post still be considered legitimate? I got the impression from Sorry that as I only posted from work I could not possibly be a real person!

On that note I will reply to Sorry first. Firstly you dreamt up the fact you are manager of Burnham R and now you are at it again. I have told you quite clearly that my mate Eric got me the information. I have never ventured to Burnham myself, apart from a family picnic in the 1980's with my 2 little girls. We took a dinghy out on the River Crouch and I must say it is a thoroughbly nice place.

WATFC - I get the impression you are not taking my claims seriously. The merger between a certain club in the Basildon area and Bowers and Pitsea WILL happen mark my words. I spoke to Eric about the council's stranglehold on both grounds but he assures me that the council are all for this move as they will ultimately benefit from a merger. The contract between the 2 clubs and the council will include clauses for gate receipts and FA prize money. Early projections are budgetting around an average crowd of 150 in year one, 250 in year two and 1000+ by year three in the Ryman Premier league.

If you are making some outrageous claim that Witham do not have a playing budget I know for a fact that Trigger is on £150 a week and James Robinson gets £200 a week.

Football Director I do not know who you are but with filthy language like that you should be removed from the forum. I have reported your post to the powers that be.

Hookey - Thanks for your comments, you are growing on me too (like an unwanted wart with mulitple heads).

Who are you then Basil-Don? Some sort of Basildon mafia? What makes you think you can tell me what to do?

Bear in mind any further threats you make will be on record and I will seek advice from one of my mates in the police.
