Anyone fancy bankrupting themselves?

if you factor in everything else you pay for in going to a premiership match (£8 travel, £3.50 a pint, £5.00 for a pie), then you spend far more on one match than you would for an entire season at a non-league club.

at a premiership match, you can't always sit with your mates, you have to sit or are threatened with ejection for daring to stand. the sanitised and overpriced experience that is 21st century top flight football now means that the game is lost to the working class man. give me non-league football any day. stand where you like, shout what you like (within reason), and if you call the linesman a tit, you can be sure he's heard you.

i have an arsenal season ticket but i sell it on each year face value as i can't really justify to myself a £1,200 ticket for an experience i just don't enjoy anymore.
