Hookey, please note I was never claiming that my spelling error was a typo. I was merely making reference to that fact that BUFC (aka the spelling police) had corrected me. Please indicate to me where I am "backstroking" here? What is your problem anyway? I was by no means being derogatory about Bowers and Pitsea. Are you being awkward for the sake of being awkward?

Hi Compaq-You appear to be a Stansted fan. I remember watching Stansted FC many moons ago but in darker times than at present. The likes of Tony Mercer (ex Romford) were turning out for you back then and some other young talents who went on to play at a higher level. I was watching Brighton's FA Cup game V woking and the lad Stansted sold to Brighton for a football kit was playing. Compaq you seem like a nice chap. If you have any money in the bank, stick it on Paul Martin to be Aveley manager at the start of 2011/2012 season.

Hookey you are just plain rude. I was not meaning to be detrimental about Bowers and Pitsea, my "doldrums" reference (have I spelt that ok for you BUFC?) was merely in relation to the level of football they play.

Hookey was correct.............you are a [****!!****].

Very big of you to say so BUFC. Does your mum know you swear? Must be nice being the wrong side of 40 and still living with your parents!

So you are not just a c*ck................but a pretentious one, to boot. coffee%20(2).gif

Your grammar is terrible. I really would make sure I am on top of my game (spelling/grammar wise) if I were going to go around correcting others. I am going to give you a piece of advice. He who laughs last, laughs last. Write that down.

MH, You were having a dig at B&P FC, sly or otherwise. You just probably thought no-one would have a nibble. How is saying the DULLdrums of Bowers & Pitsea not being derogatory? Anyway, nuff said!!!!

Am I being awkward for the sake of being awkward? Probably.

Coup, yeah I'll be watching the lad play for Bas Town tomorrow.

Hookey, please correct me if I am wrong. You are this huge Bowers and Pitsea supporter, no? You get shirty over the club being labelled the "doldrums" against the glamour of league one Dagenham, no?

Yet tomorrow afternoon when "your" team are scrapping for some points in a local derby you will be at Basildon Town for an olympian league game?

No further comment your honour!

Yes TIC & Onebreast I am who you say I am

MH - if I played with your friend John and you was watching I'd be grateful for a little bit of assitance as to where this was. Because as you can imagine I've played with a lot of players and John is a fairly common name

As for apologising I'm not sure why I should as at the time of you posting the original message there was no official statement about them losing their jobs. You then went onto say that they would be joining me @ Burnham, again another rumour. Which as I haven't spoken to Garry or Alan can only be a malicious statement or rumour. Finally as you asked whether Burnham is a money club, I think everyone on here knows that to be false (Garry left the club in the summer due to the fact there wasn't a budget).

If BRFC or I have upset you somewhere along the line then I'd like you to state when & where. If not I'd appreciate if you didn't mention the club or me in this false way again.

Agree Bowers are in the Doldrums, not the dulldrums and if you had said that in the first place then I wouldn't have bit..

I am not a "huge" Bowers & Pitsea fan but I've watched them ever since I moved to the area 20 years ago and at one point I was even the U18s manager (2004/05 season). I still watch them whenever I can. However, I watch my son play every week, even when he was playing for Basildon Utd, Bowers local rivals. I make no apologies for that.

Hi Sorry, I am going to stick to using your user name because how am I to know for sure you are the REAL Keith Wilson. You could be anyone and immitating Keith, which is bang out of order if it is the case. Based on this I feel somewhat reluctant to answer your questions, but will answer them nonetheless.

I did not say John was a fellow player. John is my friend and we used to go football together years ago before he passed away, he did love a game. We travelled up and down the A13 to various clubs including Tilbury where said Burnham manager played. Now my memory isnt great but i have been watching the likes of East Thurrock, Tilbury, Aveley for years and I think Mr Wilson also played for Great Wakering against those clubs a fair bit as well as some time at East Thurrock prior to that. As I say, Mr Wilson does not know me as I am a mere spectator and I keep my eye out for players I have seen play and their fortunes following that.

As for a probelm with Burnham R. What makes you think this? I do not see how you can make such a big statement so easily. To confirm, no problem with Burnham R I was just looking for some information. I spoke with a friend of mine (who I wont name) who told me there was going to be a reconcilliation at Burnham R of last seasons management team. I didn't believe him because Garry was working with Alan at Aveley. Once again my mate got it spot on (about GK leaving Aveley) but apparently not the motives.

No harm meant chaps. Got to love a rumour though haven't you!!

Hookey, so the "huge" problem we have had in our first encounter together was on the basis of you misinterpreting the use of "doldrum" because I made a minor spelling mistake!

Have you considered seeking out anger management?

Thought you said it wasn't a typo/spelling mistake, To be fair Mark Hoffman, you seem quite an intelligent chap and not prone to spelling mistakes.

Shall we just draw a line under it and start again?

Well Mr Hoffman I am who I say I am and you can come and introduce yourself to me tomorrow at Barking FC when I take my team Burnham Ramblers there to face Eton Manor

If that is too short notice we are at home to your favourite Senior League team Bowers & Pitsea next Saturday

You should be able to recognise me I've just got a bit greyer (management) and a bit fatter (booze) but still Grumpy !!!

Look forward to meeting you

Sorry, I do not deviate from the A13. When you visit Bowers and Pitsea I will make a point of attending. You never know - you may even recognise me. I assume at that point you will apologise which will be accepted in kind via a refreshing pint.

Hookey my interpretation is that a spelling mistake and a typo are different things. A typo is when you know how to spell a word but whilst typing at speed you make an error. A spelling mistake is when you are illiterate. I admit I did not spell doldrums correctly. Earlier in this thread you criticised me for "claiming this was a typo" insinuating I was covering up a spelling mistake. I am happy to admit my poor spelling and hope BUFC will let me off with a warning.

I am happy to start again, I am a normal chap who follows local football, love to talk about the game, love speculation and love controversy. Deep down we all do - unless it is about us.

Has anyone else heard about Witham Town's top scorer being a transfer target for Brentwood? Discuss.

Unless I do know you already ???

Hmmm, still think you know how to spell doldrums, as you are clearly articulate, thus making any mistake a deliberate one. Still, sleeping dogs and all that. As they say, least said.......

It has been suggested by someone that you are Clive Day, if true, our boys went to Thurrock & Basildon College together and were on the same course!!!!! If not, no matter.

No I am not Clive Day. My name is Mark, hence my user name!! I purposely did that as I have been on forums before and new members are often scrutinised for not giving their real name. Interesting that "jonathan smith" registered on here just to make an accusation. What is the point? Some people need to get a life.

Sorry I do not expect that you know me. The REAL Keith Wilson may recognise my face as he may have seen me in the bar before. That is all. :332:
