First off i would like to thank your great mid week support, it was excellent, The team is the same that lost against Hendon, it's just last night we put away our chances, It's going to be a long season for us any player that we have who is any good soon goes, but at least we have a team, anyway good luck for the season

Not proud of it-but not really-as i think i was the only person to predict we would lose this game to a variety of comments

Not quite Michael. The reason I put that thread up this morning was because I too had a feeling something like this was going to happen.I was hoping the players would read it & not be OVER confident of getting 3 points, not to misjudge Croydon & to go out with the same attitude as they did v Sutton. Seems my words of warning weren't seen or if they were they were completely ignored.

But they really didnt need me or anyone else for that matter to know all this or be told it.They are semi professionals after all..

I will put tonights result down to unproffesionalism & underestimating the opposition. Still being up in those clouds after Saturdays deserved victory & forgetting the basics. No I wasn't there tonight but judging by what I'm hearing they failed in most departments tonight. Are Croydon a much improved side from last week or the week before? I shall be looking out for their next few games & results with extreme interest now to see if maybe just maybe we have played an improving side at the wrong time.

We have no god given right to win every game but We MUST start being more consistent & Ian Sanderson is perfectly correct to say that this is our problem or has been in the past. I really thought that had come to an end this season.Maybe this is just a one match blip (it happens to most teams during a season) but this consistency thing needs addressing & fast, not just for results & to see us climb that table but for getting more crowds in crowds that are seriously required right now & in the future..

Attendances

The club are looking to get more people through the gate!.They are doing their bit to help..People that attended for the first time as well as all others on Saturday were impressed, impressed enough to want to come again but if they have seen this result tonight & the way the team have ducked the issue then some of those will NOT be returning after all. Damed shame if that does end up being the case.

If I.O. wants more fans turning up to support his players then he needs to give them something worth watching. He did very thing that on Saturday & things were looking up but tonights result will have done much damage as far as that goes. The players play a very big part in getting fans back, more than anyone in fact. They can also empty a stadium by inept performances such as tonight's.

I am concerned that the reduction in gate entrance v Tooting will show us losing out rather than benefitting from it now. Damned shame.

The Jeykll & Hyde side we have seen over the past few years has returned & Ian O'Connell needs to address this IMMEDIATELY. This is not acceptable!

I am EXPECTING our next two games to be vastly different to tonight's & to be similar to that of the Sutton game & I for one will be investing heavily on us getting full points in BOTH those games to make up for tonights failings.Don't let me down Mr.O'Connell & the players, dont let ANY of us down again.

Sorry but I am fuming tonight ! Really fuming!! :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: (But I'm sure I'll get over it in time, after we have secured the full 6 points from our next two games. There, thats me finishing off by being a little too over confident maybe but its a positive end to my rant at least).

From heroes to villains all in the space of 4 days.

p.s I wonder if any bookmaker has taken a large bet anywhere on a Croydon victory tonight. Odds would have been quite good & quite tempting I would have thought. ;)

I love it when people give their views on a game despite not having seen it!

Agree 100% with CE as to people making observations when not there.

However, I was there last night BUT the players for what ever reason were not. If you were there though you would have seen a very young team fighting for thiere future as players with Croydon or elesewhere as Croydon is now very much a shop window for all teams to go and have a look at. Most impressed with Moody and there goalkeeper (yes I know he is a Fulham loanee).

Infact the best comment I can make fro last night was when the Cottager (GK) felt he had to appologise to us behind the goal for the attitiude and language of ther #6 (even Ward would have beenembarrased for him to wear the red shirt of ramsshite).

Still pi$$ed off 300%. The players out there last night owe a huge appology to the fans for that performance.

The goalkeeper was Adam Peck, the Fulham loanee is injured and has not played in the last couple of games, and yes i would have come on and posted if we had lost, as i said great support last night and a friendly crowd, I normally post after a defeat  I think you guys should say it was a bad day at the office, anyway good luck for the rest of the season and i look forward to my trip to Margate

Generally I don't comment on a game if I am not there to see it for myself. However I did say "No I wasn't there tonight but judging by what I'm hearing" if you read my post, both from some that WERE there & from Ian himself in the interview. I haven't mentioned any player by name or what they did or didn't do because as you say "I wasn't there to make a comment". Besides this was supposed to be,like all other games,a team effort. You get the plaudits if you are great (like on Saturday) or you take the flack if you do the opposite.

All sounds pretty dire to me & the result itself dosen't spur me into being "nice" about the game. No I wasn't there but you tell me then that it wasn't as bad as I.O. says (pretty shambolic by what he has said).

Whether there or not I am still entitled to my say on the matter. No one(who was there) has so far said it was good performance.

Umm............ 2 games since ..

Harrow 3 Croydon 1

Croydon 0 Aveley 2 (att 89)

Seems it wasn't their improvement that won them this game then!

West Ham 5 Burnley 3 - November 2009

Was that the last time west ham won a game!? :)

Only joking, I'm a west ham fan so don't know why I'm making a joke about that!!

I've always admired West Ham fans, because they never lost faith in Michael Jackson, and to this very day still sing "I'm for every blowing bubbles".

A lovely image of the man.....
