Great performance in the 1st half, but what happened in the 2nd half.

No where near as lively a no where near as many chances created, and i couldnt understand some of the substitutions we made, well at least we came home with a point.

I think Findley was injured soon after coming on.

 

Either that or the Boss did'nt think he was up for it and hauled him back off after only 10 mins.

 

1st Half we seemed like a team a league and a half above Heybridge. All credit to them second half, they got back into it and controlled it, but they should have been dead and buried by the 45th min.

 

Whoever the next visitors are to Heybridge will be drinking out of plastic beakers at half-time, cos I don't think the T-cups will have survived the dressing room inquest.

Keeling forward up front??? So how does that change the situation? He finally got it right when Cowley came on, but in honesty, he could and should have made that change when he took Taffy off! Should have buried them by half time, you always know that a team that is so poor in the first half would play better in the second.

Two lost points, there is no other way of putting it, we gave that match away. The way we were playing we could have been 4-0 up at half had we of made the chances!

 

They started to come at us in the 2nd half and we lost all shape and let them attack, they were always going to score. When we were chasing a goal the substitution made it worse two leftbacks a right winger upfront, hardly helped us get the shape back !

Sorry, something went wrong as I was adding my post, seemed to cut half of it off! Anyway, this is what I actually wrote, doubt it still makes much sense!

 

The Findley substitution aside, there were a number of very strange substitutions that I couldn’t get my head around. We were getting rather over run in midfield, so he takes off Taffy, fair enough, but brings on another left back, pushing John Martin into left midfield pusing pushing Keeling forward up front??? So how does that change the situation? He finally got it right when Cowley came on, but in honesty, he could and should have made that change when he took Taffy off!
