Margate announce reduced price admission for Tooting and Mitcham match

Well, its up to all the regular supporters to try and bring along at least one other person on Saturday to try and boost numbers. I'm bringing 1 extra on Saturday to start with.

The club should send out invites to all of the local youth teams to the likes of Thanet Colts, Margate youth, Hugin Vikings etc. These clubs have many teams. How about sending invites to all the local Sunday league teams too. There are plenty of people interested in football. You've just got to tap into them!!

We are already looking into both these areas but as ever there is a balance to be struck between giving incentives to encourage new fans while not alienating our loyal fans who keep coming every week. These things are never as simple as they seem, indeed we are already aware of some comments about the club giving free tickets to some children while individuals have to pay for theirs.

I've always wondered why Hartsdown does not stage more schools matches and local cup finals. I know the pitch has to be protected but you would get people using the bar plus income from pitch hire. The pitch is our main resource but it is being unused for more than 300 days a year.

They didn't say the attendance tonight but It wouldn't shock me if we only got 300 on saturday now

I suspect quite a few who went tonight wont be going saturday as well even with the reduction in admission prices and the players have only themselves to blame after the last two performances and results.

We seem to do this every time. After the Sutton match we played two of the bottom teams. We should now be going into the Tooting match with 9 points under our belt and pushing into the play offs. I woiuld have thought that the attendence would have probably been very near to what the club wanted. But where are we? Dropping very quickly into another relegation battle, and we will be very lucky to get 300 on Saturday with the weather turning even colder.

I agree, promotion via play offs should of been a real option after the sutton game, but in 2 games where we should of won, we have come away with 0 points

300..... After last nites game (tuesday) 300 is optomistic. Someone also posted that the players have only got themselves to blame... "they will be paid" job done.
