Its nice to be wanted ,

The club are going in the right direction at last and thinking about our pockets instead of there own is a good thing .

A tenner on normal match days can be alot for some but £6 may bring a few more along . If it works then they should do it again sometime through the season .

Well done MFC .

Hopefully this and other initiatives that will gradually be put into place will convince the sceptics that the consultation exercise to sound out supporters for ideas to increase attendances was for real.

The other side of this of course is that if the initiatives do not work, they will cost the club even more money so the risk does pile up on one side. In the meantime, lots of hard work is going into helping the club progress but it all takes time.

Season Ticket holders do they get a free pint???

One thing that i could do with clarifying. under 16 free when accompanied. Does this include my 14 year old, even though i have a season ticket, and won't be going through the same gate????

Fantastic gesture, shows what we have wanted for ages, that the club are listening to us the supporters, we in return MUST make sure we take advantage of this and bring along with us as many as we can, lets see if we can crack the 500 barrier and then who knows ??

Shame how some become so despondent so soon, look at us now to where we were this time last season, all round improvement, and not only in the playing front, these boys are not machines, lets get behind them and look forward to the next few games, see where we are at Xmas and then push on .

Now now, don't exaggerate Tom. Personally I am despondent with last nights result only. Nothing more than that. I'm sure they will make up for it next game. Its just that we were starting a good run after Saturday & had every chance of continuing on from there but faltered badly last night .We will be & are much better than that. Like you say upwards & onwards (league table included)

(calmed down a bit now after the shock)

Its not so much the loss itself that hurts for me-i was expecting it afterall-but more the effect on attendances-had we won,and found oursleves in top half of table-i am sure the attendance would have been about 360 on tueday night-now i expect it will be about 280.

That must hurt the club quite a bit.

all club suffer from horrid results-but it always seem our timing of these 'critical losses' is so poor

So true Michael, so true. 100% in agreement with you on that. Just when you think there's good reason for the stayaway supporter to come back back through the gate (or you think THEY might have good reason) then it gets turned upside down. What a shame!. (The loyal & die hard supporters will always come no matter what the result)

Can I ask if this has been advertised on the Tooting website. Three or four supporters sharing a car would nearly save the petrol money alone.

It will be next week.

If we don't lose on Saturday we could get 400 on Tuesday

As you suggest derek-a bonus of not playing saturday is that we did not lose !!

I read on the official site that the club reckon it will need 250 more customers to break even on the 40% price reduction-unlikely unfortunately.

I'm sure Mr Richard Piper has done his sums-but i reckon it is alot more that 250 additional customers to break even on a 40% price reduction -even accounting for add-ons such as bar sales and more programmes.

That given ,the PR aspect is a big factor as well-so hope it 'works' from that aspect.

Equally-whilst i'm for price increases-not price cuts- whatever the 'success' of this initiative-i would like to see it repeated one more time at the Hendon pre-christmas game as the weekend before christmas is notorious for the lowest crowds of the year, when many are dragged away screaming to do their chrismassy bits
