At least there is a date.

i wonder how negotiations are going with a potential hotelier for the final side-no doubt we will ask on the 16th.

Stating the obvious, the North Stand will offer the facilities to encourage more people to attend matches. All the evidence points to people not going to matches (at other non-league clubs) because ground facilities are so poor (especially toilets!). Expectations of comfort are far higher than in the past, and this is the news all supporters have been waiting for!

I'll get my spade!

A start date has been set but it won't be announced for a month.

Oh I think we can all guess what he was getting at and to a degree he makes a valid point BUT I, like many others have been waiting patiently for long enough now for any news on this news & though it is still another month before we know (Hope we do THEN) its still SOME news & SOME advancement in proceedings.

Fingers crossed we aren't left waiting any longer at the meeting & at long last a start date is set.

He also makes that important point that better facilities will indeed entice not only more through the gate but players that might have been put off coming here by having to change in porto cabins. It will attract players too..

Yes I know it takes time, organisation & overcoming red tape etc to get this finalised & moving & its easy for people like myself to harp on about it without having to do any of the donkey work,so I for one am appreciative of all that & to all those doing that work.

Maybe, just maybe THIS TIME things are actually going to happen.

Thank you MFC

Just ask Tam and AB about toilets in Essex that they recently visited.

Nothing much wrong with the toilets at Billericay, Jim.

I know it has been very controversial, particularly on this forum, but I see the Turney Contemporary is opening in July. Personally I believe this will be good for the town of Margate and will hopefully help kick start the future. If the hotel at the club comes to fruition it will also have a direct impact on us. With Dreamland re-opening in 2012 as well, it all impacts on the club with more revenue coming in. The club just need to make sure they tap into this extra source. I think this is an exciting time to be a Margate supporter :brille008:
