Cycling again.....but it's only Aylesbury!

Yes it's that time of the month again when pedal power will get us to an away game. Anyone fancy joining us for a brisk 28 mile ride? We could follow the route which took us through Aylesbury as part of the Atherstone ride in September although Andy, Claire and me have decided that's too easy!! We're starting to enjoy the pain now!!!

We've therefore mapped a route which takes in as many of the steepest hills between here and Aylesbury that we could find - 1685 feet of climbing which is quite a lot over a relatively short distance! We've purposely routed ourselves over Bledlow Ridge which Kay and Martin walked up on the way to Romulus and reckon is as touch as it gets. We'll see!!!

See you there :)

You certainly have made it hard for yourselves. Walking up that hill was tough enough (I break out in a cold sweat just remembering it) and I am not sure I would dare attempt it on two wheels for fear of rolling back down to the bottom. That certainly earns some extra sponsorship from me.

Good luck!!

That was eventful! We chose the shortest trip to have our disasters today.

Claire and Andy suffered two punctures in their car before they even got to mine which meant we left late. Then Claire managed to incur another puncture just the other side of Bledlow Ridge on her bike!! As a result of that we missed the first half an hour. This might be a good omen though. Two weeks on the trot, for difffering reasons, I've arrived at about 3:25pm and both games we've managed to turn a goal defecit into a win!

Was a good ride but very very cold.Bledlow was fun and whilst not the longest climb in the world it's incredibly steep in places! We all got up without stopping however :) .

Well done to the three of you, sterling effort in the face of adversity.
