I don't know the extent of JT's injury, but the big question I have to ask is .... why didn't we have a 'keeper on the bench?

Only three outfield players can play as subs, most times we only use two, so to have four to choose from is not too restricting.

From the online commentary it sounded as if JT might have gone off if there was a replacement on the bench, there wasn't so he played on ... has that jeopardised his chances of being OK for Wednesday @ Croydon?

The worst-case scenario is having a 'keeper injured in the first half and playing an outfielder in goal for 50/60/70/80 minutes Crazy.

Most enjoyable game and to be fair if we had lost 3 - 2 would not have complained as both teams deserved credit for serving up an excellant game of football.

 

Even the ref commented that it was one of the best he had officiated at and that was down to the players playing hard fast and fair.

 

 

 

 

Mind you the number of times Andy said in the bar that we had beaten the league leaders it may you wonder if he had been smoking something!!!!!!!

Talking to IO'C after the game it looked worse than it was - a knee problem from the challenge he made. But he should be fit for Wednesday.

Fair play to the U's supporters, there are some decent comments on their Forum about the match., It makes a pleasant change with nobody griping about the referee or that we were lucky to get the win. They all recognised what a cracker of a goal it was that won it.

Also, I noticed when WWs Freekick went in the Sutton Fans were clapping as wekk (I didnt see if they did the same for the winner, I was too excited jumping around like a kid at christmas!), but I think that is quality, an opposing team recognising a well executed finish -
