Why Hemel sacked Bateman

Interesting to read your comments from an outside point of view. In the season before last Totton only managed 3 points from a possible 18 in a sticky patch, and they were a terrific side.

I am genuinely surprised that with Dave Anderon you are not getting better results, I thought he was a great signing for you guys and thought you would be pushing for promotion.

For those that have had enough of Bateman, who would you like to see take over, do you think Anderson should take over or is there someone else you would very much like to see at Slough. Just wondering really?

I'm happy for Steve Bateman to carry on but if he did leave, then obviously Dave Anderson. However I definitely don't want Jamie Jarvis or Dave Mudge anywhere near my beloved club.

If I was appointing the manager I would go for Keith Scott.

Failing that I would like ex Slough players Steve 'Thommo' Thompson or Ian Hazel who have both successfully and not-so successfully managed! lol! at higher level teams or maybe try to appoint a successful lower manager such as Danny Edwards, current manager at Chalfont St Peter.

The rumour on Tuesday Fuzzy was that Mudgy would give his right arm to be in charge at Slough.

And step down from a successful premier division club? Doubtful but dream on

So far this season relatively successful in points gained but if the new Chairman takes over it looks like Mudgie will have to slash the playing budget with the distinct possibility of losing some players.

Perhaps a good enough excuse to jump ship? Only time will tell.

i think in the resigning of herron we have strengthened up on one of our weak spots down the left hand side , now all we have to do is get murphy to improve his marking while defending and i think we will see a marked improvement, most of our opposition attacks are successfull down the left hand side, it would also be better for us to play with more width , recently we seem to be very narrow and put most balls down the right hand side, and at the moment there seems to be overlap lacking when in the attack something that a left handed player like herron will help i believe
