The academy went into an early lead, 12 seconds in fact. The game was a cup match in the ENGLISH SCHOOLS FA TROPHY.The Schools equivalent to the FA Cup. The goal was scored by the academy and reserves midfielder ARNOLD MURRAGE. According to coach PHIL FENNELL the match was a cracker. Academy keeper BILLY DRINKWATER played no small part in this victory when, in the 88th minute he pulled of a penalty save to deny the visitors extra time. This important save saw the academy progress through to the last 32.

The next round draw to be played on or before the 4th of December will be away to BARKING ABBEY SCHOOL, Barking / Dagenham.

They are through to the next round of the white cup( equivalent to the Kent senior cup). they won it 2 years ago at Hartsdown Park, and were runners up last season.

I have just phoned the English Schools Fa. they have no idea where the final will be held at the moment.

 

I can only suppose they will choose a venue when it becomes clearer from which counties the finalists come.
