ANOTHER bad day at the Office !

An expression used rather alot recently.

Well .....was it or did Leyton deserve their share of the points ?

Was their keeper M O M ?

On another day it could have been six to Town....but it wasn't and until Hope came on we did not look like scoring til next week.

The bad run will end.......cos it will.....it has too....but when ?

So many Players off their game over the last few weeks.

Interesting response to the forum by SN in his prog notes.

Heard tonight that Lee Protheroe has left the Club - what a waste of a great talent.

Thought he played so very well in front of the back line during the first two months of the season. Sure, not all players can be selected, but why let him go ?

Next 3 league games will be harder than the last 3, so we will have to see if there is a better day at the Office !!

It's all doom and gloom OldTowner........ Guess he should have made wholesale changes at half time?

Was just wondering how on another day we would have won by 6 when we apparently didn't look like scoring till next week?

I predicted a 5 goal difference and and on another day it could have been.

However, Leyton had a goalkeeper who played out of his skin and stopped nearly everything with every part of his body.

What was disappointing was to see Leyton players running all over the place and being first to most balls. Admittedly, they were not brilliant at using it but they did score 2 goals and made it very hard for us to play. It looked like some of our players were just going through the motions.

Rudi Hall taking off and jumping into a challenge with both feet? Oh dear!

Something which myself and some other supporters have recently noticed is the amount of foul language and stupid comments being hurled at opposing players. I am sure there is no need and it is certainly not a way to encourage new supporters to attend games week in and week out. And there's me thinking that we had a code of conduct for supporters.

Simple...dance%20(2).gif just read what I wrote......

On another day - that's the clue.

On this day - we could not score ( until Hope came on of course )

There is a lot of Hope being pinned on Stuart's return.

Anyone heard how it went today - when he had his pins removed :excited: ?

Have no illusions Leyton were a poor team and we made them look very poor. we should have been 3,4-0 up before they took the lead. And should have still won the game having brought the scores back level and Hopey shooting wide when turning right at the death. Looks like the timing of the substitution was spot on as Liam looked like he had just had some raw meat before being unleashed onto the field.

I remember a similar game away to Ware last season when we were 3-0 down at half time to again a very poor team before making it 3-3 and missing a wonderful vhace at the death in that game too. Thats football.

We play Potters Bar Saturday and all we need to do is stop the silly errors at the back (and eventually we will) and put the chances away. I predict we'll stuff PBT If we take the lead. But we'd all settle for a 1-0 win right now.

Weheyyyy, glad to hear from you again, a disappointing run of results is not the same without your two bob thrown in.

Anyway we'll get back to winning ways soon then stuff the Chesnuts for x-mas fun. You can then retreat back to your dark little place again.

Disappointing to see the run of poor results. I was in London in September and was at the home game v Thamesmead. Hard to make an accurate judgement on one game but I left that night thinking it was not going to be a successful year. I thought we were outplayed by a much better team. I was then pleasantly surprised to see the next few results (good cup runs and undefeated in 5 or 6 games) but it seems to have come to a screaming halt over the last few weeks. 12,000 miles away is too far to make sensible comment but I just hope the team can turn it around quickly otherwise it is going to be a long second half of the season.

Regards to everyone from Australia. I will be back in London in April, hopefully to see some play off action.
