If you are at a loose end on the 14th,why not pop along to Merstham F.C. at the Moatside,Weldon Way, Merstham.Great facilities,2 evenly matched sides,in what promises to be a cracking game.Smudge will be there to cheer on the Hoops. To celebrate his 1st birthday,of joining this great forum,so if you would like to buy him a drink in the bar,pre and post Match, get there earlier to celebrate. BE WARNED HE NEVER REFUSES.

Smudge - which hoops - Bracknell are in hoops as well.

Evenly matched sides, I don't think so. Epsom have some serious problems if they do not get a result.

If I can ge there I'll be cheering on the Robins, but I will not holding my breath.

Thanks for the plug folks. Just to add the bar will be open early, hot food and there will be a programme stall with lots of league and non league items for purchase . It would be good to see a few forumites down there .

TC not sure about your soothsaying about our prospects if we lose .. must be a big game for Bracknell if the mind games have started already.

Big game for both teams with the financial reward.

I'm not at Bracknell anymore so no mind games from me.

I'm basing my thoughts on the last few games I played for them and some of the results since.

I still think evenly matched is probably fair as we're not going as well as we'd hoped at the start of the season

Smudge, you need to change the title on your post, as Sunday is the 14th, not 13th as you've listed. Have a great day.

Epsom and Ewell 4 Bracknell Town 0

A welcome return to form for the E's at a rainsodden Moatside today. Goals from Hough,Stephens a great pinging volley from McGregor from the edge of the box and Jarman gave a comfortable win. Both keepers played well and a couple of saves from Borgy at 0-0 gave us the platform to win the match .

A really well contested match with barely a poor challenge and very little to bother the referee so credit to the players and the officials for as game beiung played in such a good atmosphere . The ref in particular was excellent and said after the gane he mainly does Suburban League . Having a good game in front of the chairman of the FA might do his promotion prospects no harm.

I was also at this game. I can only echo just how good the referee was. He made sensible decisions given the appalling conditions, no sign at all of any bookings.

Bracknell started well but, as has been said, the home keeper made a couple of great saves to deny them. The burst of three goals in 8 minutes shortly before half time finished this as a contest and Epsom should have had several more - bar and post both hit, 2 shots held up in the mud on the goal line.

A thoroughly entertaining afternoon, despite the weather!
