Chessington V Chertsey called off as we knew it would be two weeks ago

 

Make your own mind up but

 

1. Chessington asked for game to be moved a month ago so they could hold a fireworks display. They wanted a Fri night which we couldnt do but offered to kick off anytime from 11am to accomodate them but that was refused

 

2. Chessington have by their own admission at least five of their best players missing at the moment

 

3. Upon calling their 'firework booking no' and asking about entrance we were told the week before last that there would be no football match that day!

 

4.The League refused Chessington to call off the match with their usual ref and made the match ref look as the previous posponements were causing concerns

 

5.Yes we are sure the pitch is now unfit but with only two hours light rain over the last four days you can make your own minds up

 

6. Yet Chessington believe their ground and pitch is up for promotion!!!!!

 

Nothing above relates to the manager or the players (of which a couple have commented to us with a smile!) but certain people at that club are taking the complete piss

Well I got thoroughly drenched twice last night, once in Guildford town centre and then later walking home from Dorking Station. Not Chessington I know, but believe me it was pissing it down!

 

Having said that if Meadowbank stages a game this afternoon, then i'll smell a rat

Surprised you went to watch them on Weds then ! On previous form they're unlikely to play another home game until March . Their midwinter break has started very early this year with 3 pp already. Game a day at Chalky Lane in April !

WHERE SUCCESSFUL LAST YEAR.BECAUSE THE OFFICIALS ARE VERY POOR,LIKE THE ONE TODAY AT DORKING.HE HAD ME AND THE ASH FANS IN HYSTERICS ALONG WITH THE ASSISTANT ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE GRANDSTAND WHO I DO NOT THINK GOT ONE DECISION RIGHT IN THE 2ND HALF.A MESSAGE TO C.C.L. Why the hell couldn't the league re-arrange it with that much notice? It's not rocket science to think that a fire work display is going to be done on near to the 5th November is it?

 

The game will be played at some point, and I'm sure if the game had been played on a pitch that was crap and one of his player's got injured, that a certain Mr Day would have been the first to bitch and moan about the quality of the pitch.

 

Maybe Chessington were short of players, maybe not, but at least they didn't poach other players to make up for them eh?
