MATCH OFF TONIGHT

Recommended Posts

RPV pitch looked good last night. but where the lino was running very tacky. centre circle very muddy. CC i think its because people know how hard tony works that they are surprised, that this game was off. coffee%20%282%29.gif

Just to let people know a majority of the RPV pitch work is done by a fellow called Mick Cox, who works hard every day, all year round, therefore making it one of the better pitches in the league.

Pitch at end of game very tacky

Tonight's CCL Premier League match at Colliers Wood United v Bookham has been postponed due to a waterlogged goal area.:492:

There was a 10am pitch inspection.

DAMN, I WAS COMING TO WATCH TONIGHT CC.

BUT HAVE TO ASK WATERLOGGED GOALMOUTH ? NO RAIN TODAY OR YESTERDAY ? ALSO WHY HAVE A PITCH INSPECTION AT 10 AM ? - WHAT REFEREE WOULD COME AND CHECK AT THAT TIME, ? I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A PITCH INSPECTION AROUND 4 PM WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE ? .......ALL VERY STRANGE TO ME MMMNNNNN.

CHRIS THIS ISN'T AN EXCUSE 'COS COLLIERS HAVE A LACK OF PLAYERS FOR TONIGHT WOULD IT LOL !!!

I shouldn't qualify that stupid comment with a reply but I will. :350:

The pitch was inspected by a league referee. We have plenty of players available.

I was looking forward to the game but will now watch our reserves at Banstead against Sutton United reserves.

As I understand it, we have been unable to get on that part of the pitch to cut, roll and mark out since Saturday.

:492:

For the record, our reserves trailed 0-3 when the lights failed around 40 minutes. Match to be replayed.

why are your reserves playing on the same night as your first team? I didn't think this was allowed in midweek or maybe i've got it wrong

You do have this wrong as this has happened a few times this season.

In fact, our youth team was due to play last night as well.

cheers Chris but it does seem unfair that in midweek on the same night clubs have to field 2 teams including subs and club officials, its not right.

Well we do it on Saturday's every week but then there is no rushing around re work etc.

The biggest problem is enough transport, especially when you have a young side like a youth team.

Volunteers and parents are vital at football clubs in this regard.

There are a lot of changes I would like to see in non-league football but I don't have time to write the book!coffee%20(2).gif
