Don't see how Stubbs can come in and replace Marsden. We need some creativity going forward not just a headless chicken running around the pitch. But glad to see Harrington done well seems another good prospect

Is that why us fans voted Dan as a player of the seaon last year then BigMacca??? You obviously didnt see him both home and away where he was excellent playing as a wing back.

Hope the DS thing happens-gives us options in a few positions.

 

In the wider picture-whats interesting for me is that in the 2 moinor cups-KSC and ILP,both Bromley and Thamesmead have taken it more seriously than Margate.

 

Difficult for IOC to get the balance right between winning and playing fringe players, but i notice pre-match in both games he said he expected Thamesmesd and bromley to field weaker teams-they did'nt particularly -and obviously wanted to progress.

 

We did field weaker sides and thus went out at forsat opprtunity.

 

Now many say these cups are not important-but in the bleak months of Jan and feb-when there is nothing else to play for;its cups like these which keep interest up and have a positive knock on effect to supporters and thus overall attendances.

 

Difficult ot get the balance right as i say-but cups are so important-no matter what it is ,simply to create/maintain overall interest.

 

Bluntly-we are not good enough/ready enough for play-offs promotion ;so here we are in early November-and the `season is over.

 

I'll still fit in whatever games i can-but as a season its all over

Well said, However I will say that he played better at left back going forward, If he comes I hope he can win over those of us, me included who saw him as a headless chicken. Should he do that I'll be the first to say well done.

Yes I do GT, its better then having a go at Manager, players, team etc like you seem to be doing at present.

 

And for the record I am not alone in thinking he is a good player. With comments like yours, BigMacca etc if Dan reads this, will he want to come back!

Dan Stubbs runs his heart out & yes sometimes it does look like he is as has been mentioned previously but its his 90 minute workrate that impresses me.Without that effort it probably wouldn't,at times,look that way.

Overall he gets in there & we need that bite in midfield,that harrassing of opponents. He lacks a decent shot sometimes but generally puts himself about. At full back I agree he had done magnificently & as a midfielder yes also, but as a striker, as has been mentioned,ummmm I'm not so sure.

Time to add my comments ,Dan = BITE IN MIDFIELD He gives 100% all the game, here there and everywhere. And does have a fearsome shot on him.

Yes of course he has a decent shot on him. Sorry I put that wrongly. What I meant was that sometimes they can be woefully misdirected. But that can apply to many I suppose. When he does gets it on target it really does fly into the net I won't dispute that.

Hey at the moment we could do with 3 or 4 of his caliber & his energy in midfield
