Before I comment and express an opinion I am waiting for Mr Secret Margate Supporter to tell us the truth.

That is of course Ian Sandersson

I imagine he already up to his balls in research on the subject as you speak Jim.

No doubt he will be telling the world very shortly which club he has now signed for.

Its a shame for Darren as talking to him he loves your club, but as he says work has to come 1st, will be a big loss, but does free up some cash.

Just got in seen the news the very sad news a GREAT LOSS. Loved his comitment and for him to take shots on goal which some of our other players seem afraid to do at times.

Is the team that Iain built falling apart in front of us or what . Cannot believe Darren has gone , i know your job is important to you but when we see he is at another club that will answer our questions , if he does not have the time to play for us then he should not have the time to play for another club , far more to this than meets the eye but good luck to him anyway .

So with the likelyhood that Shaun Welford will be out , Jay is missing for 3 games Wayne is out till whenever and now Darren gone all we need is for a club to come in for Curtis and we are relegation foder again .

And to dig in deeper the club are asking the surporters that they need more of us there to keep them afloat well they won`t be coming if we are sitting at the foot of the table again will they . How football can change in such a short period of time is mad , one minute we are all happy and talking of how well we could do this season the next thing our club is falling apart .

Must be hard to be a manager nowadays even at our level , feel sorry for Iain .

I think you are being a bit unfair Andy when you suggest there is more to this. OIC plucked Darren from the lower leagues so why should he walk out on the club to go to another. Why can't you see it as it is, the club appear to have been straight with us with the announcement. As for Welford, Jay and Wayne, it is just unfortunate bad luck. The club have announced where they stand at the moment, and state that finances need to improve soon if we are to keep the squad together, not that they are cutting back immediately. Marsdens departure today is just bad timing. Lets not go back to the bad old days when the club told us nothing and rumours were rife.

Sorry i put it that way didn`t mean it like that all i am trying to say is Darren is a footballer so he is going to be playing for another club at some point , he has footy in his blood so we will see him in the shirt of another club at another time . yes its bad luck That we have injury and suspensions at the same time and Iain must be pulling his hair out with despair knowing he may have to make cuts and cope with injury and suspention at the same time as releasing Ishmail and Darren leaving . I was already thinking how weak the bench was on Saturday , how poor could it end up being . It is bad luck for us again im affraid at the mo but lets hope we can have the resources to see how well we can do without Shaun and Jay for now , this is the first big test for Iain and if he can pull us through it then we know the club is in capable hands .

Up the Gate .

That must surely just about guarantee herne Bay promotion from the kent League to Ryman south next season.

he must be head and shoulders above any other player in that league

Its all happening on the north kent coast these days:

Faversham, whitstable, herne bay ,margate.

didn`t Leroy Huggins also come from Herne Bay last season and then had to leave due to other commitments . At the end of the day and no matter how much i liked the style of Darren and the way he played this should not be allowed to happen even at our level , if a player signs for a club and he is making the step up he must no that he will be playing further afield than he was before . If he`s not sure he shouldn`t sign as it causes problems throughout the team . Danny could have resigned for us or someone that Iain new of at the time could have signed for the whole season .

When he commited to a trial with us he no doubt believed he could juggle his 'real' job with the extra commitment of travelling in the Ryman over that of the Kent League. However the day-in, day-out reality of the situation can be that an extra couple of hours travelling here & there takes it's toll on you and the 'real' job suffers.

Unfortunately knowing "ALL" the revelant facts is a luxury we arent privy too, in many ways thats as it should be but in many cases being transparent can be detrimental to any business.
