Does anyone know....

I went to Bideford on holiday in 1997 and saw the ground. It's quite compact but the main stand out feature are the floodlights which are massive and are easily football league standard.

You can pretty much walk from the town to the ground from what I can remember.

Think Bideford have a decent recent record in the Vase and got to the quarter finals one year.

Slightly better than the quaters!

"In FA competitions, Bideford AFC’s record is quite impressive, reaching the First Round Proper of the FA Cup on four occasions, and reaching the Semi-Final of the FA Vase in 2003/04. Last seasons FA Vase campaign saw Bideford reach the quarter-final stages, where they were knocked out by an impressive Lowerstoft.

Bideford AFC gained promotion from the Toolstation Western Premier League at the end of a fantastic 2009/10 season, in which they did the double winning the League and the Westinsure Devon St Lukes Bowl where they beat Exeter City 2-1 in the Final. Bideford AFC were promoted to the Zamaretto Southern League in May 2010, the first time they have played in the Southern League in 35 years."

Looking into this, they beat Bideford in the 2008/09 season the info is just a little out dated

Its not a game we like remembering! We got trounced 4-0 and just before half time I got a phone call telling me our property in West Cork, Ireland was flooding with a burst mains pipe!

Rob, I don't the football ground, but no the area having been on cricket tour to North Devon for 9 years, and playing against Bideford CC (they are actually, Bideford, Littleham and Westward Ho). Is a nice part of the world, am sure you will all enjoy it. Not sure what it is like in November I have to say, it was always July when we went!! Down on the "front" there are a few places to eat and drink as well as amusments etc, but not sure if all that will be open at this time of year.

Is a long way though, thats all I would say. We used to travel down Sunday morning and at that time of year it was busy so we used to ho early and to Barnstaple (where we were based) it would take about 4-4.5 hours.

Anyway, enjoy Gents, and good luck.
