Seems like it will be a good day out,with plenty of banter and a good old fashioned hornchurch drink up.

Lets do our club and essex proud,put on a good loud show and be gracious in victory or on the small chance we might lose gracious in defeat

 

 

 

 

Just thought I'd post back to say how disappointing the reult for us, but that takes nothing away rom you lot, who-I say through gritted teeth-deserved the win over the ninety minutes.

 

I'll bet you were relieved not to have a long midweek haul to south-east London!

 

For us it was a 'beano', as we don't play in your neck of the woods, & I must say some of us were a bit concerned as we have had bother with some west country clubs in the past, due to racist abuse of our black players down the years.

 

This was totally unfounded yesterday, I am finding it difficult to find a friendlier club that has welcomed us on a cup trip against a team outside of our usual league opponents. At times it was a tad embarrassing at the genuine warmth shown, as all we had done was come to cheer on our side.

 

On a plus note, I was lucky enough to get a programme, but it was a great shame your club shop was not open, as a few of us wanted bandges and scarves, but there you go.

I know for years to come, when we reminisce among ourselves, & talk to fellow rival fans in our league, we shall we saying what a great little club Bideford were.
