Well,we fell asleep for their first. A shockingly easy goal to give away.Our first effort on goal I timed at 30 minutes,a shot over the bar. One other shot from outside the area which was blocked & that was our entire efforts on goal first half.

They dominated possession 1st half & really we were very fortunate to go in only one goal down. Hornchurch's finishing was poor overall but they certainly had good opportunities to further their lead.

We certainly missed Welford up front (there was no substitute for him out there on the day sad to say) & we lacked width in our play. Hornchurch used the width of the pitch better & were dangerous from those plays from out wide.

Very strong wind (which seemed to die down 10 minutes before the end) when Hornchurch began to get on top again & score their second & the winner.

We had much the better of it second half (wind assisted it has to be said) & after getting a cracking headed goal from Robinson for the equaliser it seemed the only team that were possibly going to win the game,if anyone, was...us! Not because we were creating THAT much but because Hornchurch were creating absolutely nothing at that point in the game.We could & should have gone on from there but we didnt & they scrambled that winner.Overall we didnt deserve to win the game & Hornchurch did.

A fair report, but not so sure about the '150 Hornchurch supporters'.

More like 50 I would have thought and that is perhaps an overestimate, thought we were poor yesterday, sure miss the hustle and bustle of Welford, not sure really how we will get better, but always full of hope of course.!!

 

Heard Wayne Wilson talking yesterday apparentely had a severe migraine attack in the week, concerns at the time that it was something else hope he gets better soon.

Wellwhen the majority of Urchin supporters are as fat & ugly as Rob they do look like 3 if not 4 people.

 

 

Mind you thier drink consumption is that of 4 people each.
