South Park 10-0 Feltham

After 2 poor results, Park decided to take it out on a Feltham side lacking confidence. Feltham kept the ball well but had no end product and everytime we had the ball we looked like scoring. Could go on as the scoreline suggests, but Feltham didnt deserve the scoreline or a caning.

The result forced the Feltham manager Romon Forrester to resign after the match too

Guildford 4 Cove 0 pretty evenly matched game up untill last 20 when Guildfords extra class told the difference,my prediction is they will win this league if they manage to keep this team together 4 or 5 could easily play at 1 maybe 2 levels higher,as for us we are going through a bad period and we will have to work very hard to turn things around,we are struggling with injuries at the moment, I've never seen so many players injured in 1 club at the same time in my whole career .

We held our own up until the last 15 or so and always felt we still had a way back in to the match all the time it was 1-0. We hit the post and their keeper pulled off a worldy to keep them 1 up.

15 to go and 2-0 plus bringing on the youngsters borrowed from the reserves ended up making the score a bit embarrassing.

Certainly not the score line we deserved!

Guildford are strong. Good defenders. Hard tackling and good footballing midfielders. Very big strong forwards and plenty of quality subs to come on.

My only gripe with guildford: far too cocky, no respect for the opposition, very dirty players, and they bite much too easy in conversation.

Their supporters shouted from the stand (approx 2 miles away) "COME ON GUILDFORD!!" I followed that up with DONT YOU MEAN CROYDON!!

That got up the players noses very much and i took a few kicks and elbows for my comments!

Guildford will push close for the title but i reckon their indiscipline will be their down fall!

Can they go up with that ground????

Not played chertsey yet but still think chertsey will win the league at long last.

Colliers Wood United 0 Epsom and Ewell 2

A good close competitve game in which we took 2 chances (1 a pen ) in the first 20 minutes. Colliers Wood put us under a lot of pressure all through the game and our defence held firm. The second goal was a good finish by Mark Jarman where he beat the keeper to a ball a long way out and we had 5 or 6 seconds where we knew the ball was bouncing in to enjoy the goal . The previously mentioned Jay Holden came on, looked good and produced a good finish unfortunately from an offside position .

Ref booked a lot of players in a game with very little to deal with . Although you couldn't quibble with any of the decisions individually it's interesting that another ref may have got through that game producing less . The players don't help themselves though as 3 of the cards were for dissent .

Disappointed to lose but Epsom got themselves ahead and defended well, especially in the second half. Borg was outstanding for The E's throughout the game. E's skipper, Rodrigues played well too. We are in and out at the moment but still delighted to be where we are after last season.

One downer from yesterday was a couple of visiting players criticising our ground etc after the game.

We know it isn't the Nou Camp (yet) but at least it is OUR own ground :welcome: and we are improving the place all the time!

Planks - did the same to us last season.

Spectrum good enough to go up !!!!!

Krooner, sir, surely those should be ?s instead of !s? Or are you being as quizzical as me (forsooth, thee and me agreeing on summat!) for all the reasons we all know, but mainly regarding the total absence of a clubhouse at the Spectrum, which has to be one of the least enjoyable grounds to visit in the CCL (and not just because our record there sucks big minty ones).

Knaphill 1-2 Farleigh.

Even first half with both team having chances. Knaphill onslaught second half, couldn't put in the net. Farleigh got the winner in the last minute, possibly their first chance of the second half. Our captain sent off for complaining to the ref, absolute disgrace the Farleigh captain, always has been every time we play them, ran over shouting to our bench when they scored an got himself sent off too.

I've read all of the Knaphill quotes and waited to post a reply. Firstly regarding the match, it should never have been played as there was surface water covering part of the pitch which made it very difficult to play any football. The game itself was one of 2 halves - the first half Farleigh created plenty of chances hitting the post and bar whilst your keeper made plenty some good saves, whilst Knaphill had a couple of good opportunities hitting the post with the best. The second was pretty much all Knaphill scoring a deflected goal and although lots of pressure was applied the final ball or shot from Knaphill was not great and didnt really have anything on target. Farleigh were hanging in there and had a break away chance where our left back moved into midfield and got through one on one and hit it straight at the keeper. In the final minute a free kick around the half way was put into the box and our stricker got a head to it and it looped over the small keeper into the goal for a fortunate win but would have been dissapointed if we had come away with no points. All of you Knaphill posters will i'm sure air your views.

On the other incidents - As it has been mentioned many times before that the Knaphill manager (small mouthy guy) is constantly complaining and swearing during the whole game, to be honest i think it puts Knaphill off as much as the opposition. I find it very difficult to see these posts which makes out that all of the abuse and crude language was from Farleigh as this is not the case. I agree with Brunty that during the game there was no moaning or aguing between both sets of players, in fact both teams moaned about the officials only.

I hope Milesy4 this gives a non baised review of the game and incident from a Farleigh perspective.

Speaking of unfit pitches a big thanks to our comitee who got our game on - on Saturday

The groundsman arrived at half 9 in the morning to find someone had broken in ( so much for the 24 security guard ) and deliberatly sabatoged the pitch. Sticking screws upright all over the playing surface and shattering glass bottles and spreading them all over the bottom end. It took a huge effort to get the game on so well done to those involved. Definitley wasnt the work of kids. Theres some utter twisted indivduals out there.

Unbelievable NLN what the f*** did they want to achieve. Thank god your groundsman was on the ball! When I was manager at Coney Hall years ago we had the same thing happen turned up on the Sat morn to do nets etc and both goal mouths were full of broken glass from bottles and pint glasses. The mentality of individuals if nothing short of madness!!

Pretty fair account I would say , Farleigh Fox. Agreed that the game shouldnt have been on in the first place because of the water on the pitch. Defintely a gem of two halves, Farleigh edging the first, Knaphill the second. I just felt that as bad as the officals were all game, they somehow made themselves look even worse in the last 5 minutes, with some terrible decisions. Good luck for the season....

I suggested Tyson this time last year for the managers position before I left. If he'd have got it I would've stayed, he's a top guy and I've got all the time in the world for him!
