Sandhurst 2-1 Chessington & Hook

This match looked anything but 'game of the day' after a tepid first half. Thankfully hotted up nicely after the restart, C&H taking the lead with TC being beaten by an ambitious up and under which I thought was going over the bar but dropped nicely into the net. Fizzers were quickly back on terms with a thumping header from a great cross. Took the lead shortly after when what looked like a cross sailed over the keeper's head and into the net. Not a great deal else happened in truth, not sure TC had a save to make all match!

Sheerwater 1 - 5 Cobham.

Not a great encounter on a really small pitch. Cruised to a 5-1 win without even getting out of 2nd gear. A job done, but to be honest playing against prob the worst side in the league we found it hard to get going. A more focused performance would have seen double figures, I think Sheerwater will be in trouble this season.

Touche, Ace Face.

Great posts 'blue and white army.' Can see a lot of thought went in to thinking those up. Sounds like you may have had 1 too many to drink from our tuck shop after the game. Not sure where your '3 goals' at half time would have come from, 1 goal, maybe 2....but then again did we not hit the post and have chances too? Maybe you were busy talking **** with your 'class act' captain at the time your player kicked our number 2 in the head on the floor, as im guessing you may have forgotten that. Game is over now, 3 points to Farleigh. Undeserved in my opinion. Get rid of your captain and a couple other players who wouldnt shut up moaning at every single decision and you could be alright. Instead, they make you a poor side and from talking to players at other clubs in league, a side (like Knaphill probably) that no one likes, because of your attitude.

Bookham 0-5 Egham Town

This was not as easy at it sounds. We were pretty crap in the first half on a rutted pitch (the groundsman needs to rethink drviing on a wet pitch - parallel channels all across the turf) but Bookham started getting all arsey as the first half was closing out and Orrin Jolley, right in front of the ref, raised his hands to Matt Grave and got a straight red on 34 minutes. Bookham then went into a mini collapse and we scored in the 40th and 45th minutes through Grave and Jamie Houghton. Houghton completed his first ever hat-trick in the second half (63, 82) after Grave had put us 3-0 up on 61.

HUGE praise to the Bookham keeper, Jos Iles, whose heroic performance stopped us completely running away with it. Now we look forward to some news from Croydon...

Not the best game of football you will see, but we got the three points. Chessington keeper was the busier of the two of us, but I think there were only three shots on target all game.

Whats happened to the Sheers lately? Thought they started well this season and people said they'd aquired a few new and decent players. Now they've slumpped badly

Just watched the video, love the way their no.9 pushed you as hard as he could Terrence but you stuck out your pidgeion chest and give it the WTF haha classic!

On another note, Chessington have a fair few players..erm..carrying some pounds! I know 'Scholesy' has always been biggish, but he trimmed up a fair bit but looks even bigger now. The no.8 always looked slow until the clip in the second half where he burned some pace leaving two defenders for dust before missing a greedy attempt. Just an observation, maybe it's me or the camera factor of 'it's adds ten pounds to you'

Knaphill 1-2 Farleigh.

Even first half with both team having chances. Knaphill onslaught second half, couldn't put in the net. Farleigh got the winner in the last minute, possibly their first chance of the second half. Our captain sent off for complaining to the ref, absolute disgrace the Farleigh captain, always has been every time we play them, ran over shouting to our bench when they scored an got himself sent off too.

Milesy,no love lost there then.I personally think Farleigh are a great Club, just shows what a win over the Mighty Knaphill does to people.

That's good news, he's currently on loan from Merstham for a month to get some experience. Still only 17 years old so will be good for him

MVSCR 0 v 3 Camberley. 2 goals in first half and then a 3rd in the 15th minute of stopage time at end of 2nd half. MV player got a nasty cut with loads of blood and the referee would not restart the game until all the blood had been covered on the pitch. Fairly comfortable for the Krooners with 2 disallowed goals, hit the bar and a couple of decent saves. MV could have made more when they missed an east chance with 10 to go.

Good to chat to Briggers too.

Unfortunately, bar one strike from Liam Holden in the first half, and a deep free kick which your keeper didn't come for late on, we never really tested you.

Good to meet both you and VPCTFC.

Some pictures from yesterday

Bagshot 2 Eversley 4

Scully, Smith, Savage and Baker goalscorers for us.

A change of scenery seems to have done the ex Knaphill Players no harm.

Both played well yesterday. Starting to build a strong squad of players now.

Should be a decent game against Westfield on Saturday.

South Park 10-0 Feltham

After 2 poor results, Park decided to take it out on a Feltham side lacking confidence. Feltham kept the ball well but had no end product and everytime we had the ball we looked like scoring. Could go on as the scoreline suggests, but Feltham didnt deserve the scoreline or a caning.

To be fair smudge the game was played in a good spirit yesterday , no bad tackles, no bickering between players. Farleigh nicked it with the last kick of the game with ther only attack of the second half ! Don't know where these over the top comments from that idiot come from.!!

Guildford 4 Cove 0 pretty evenly matched game up untill last 20 when Guildfords extra class told the difference,my prediction is they will win this league if they manage to keep this team together 4 or 5 could easily play at 1 maybe 2 levels higher,as for us we are going through a bad period and we will have to work very hard to turn things around,we are struggling with injuries at the moment, I've never seen so many players injured in 1 club at the same time in my whole career .

Colliers Wood United 0 Epsom and Ewell 2

A good close competitve game in which we took 2 chances (1 a pen ) in the first 20 minutes. Colliers Wood put us under a lot of pressure all through the game and our defence held firm. The second goal was a good finish by Mark Jarman where he beat the keeper to a ball a long way out and we had 5 or 6 seconds where we knew the ball was bouncing in to enjoy the goal . The previously mentioned Jay Holden came on, looked good and produced a good finish unfortunately from an offside position .

Ref booked a lot of players in a game with very little to deal with . Although you couldn't quibble with any of the decisions individually it's interesting that another ref may have got through that game producing less . The players don't help themselves though as 3 of the cards were for dissent .

Disappointed to lose but Epsom got themselves ahead and defended well, especially in the second half. Borg was outstanding for The E's throughout the game. E's skipper, Rodrigues played well too. We are in and out at the moment but still delighted to be where we are after last season.

One downer from yesterday was a couple of visiting players criticising our ground etc after the game.

We know it isn't the Nou Camp (yet) but at least it is OUR own ground :welcome: and we are improving the place all the time!

He he. That's happened a couple of times to us as well. When we hosted Frimley Green v AFC Wimbledon in the CCL there were a couple of Don's fans slating our ground whilst they were renting from Kingstonian. I think Wealdstone had a dig at us as well when they were sharing with Edgware.
