Soham town vs Slough town

Recommended Posts

not being at the game cannot really comment but i really really hope that on Saturday as soon as the players come down the tunnel and step on the pitch we can start some sort of chant. hell even before they come into the tunnel. lets show the players we all believe in them and in what they are capable of.

i can see the points made in regards of having a few more hungry young players in the side. fitness wise and speed wise this would improve us but wouldn't say its critical. most opponents do seem to have a lot of pace though something we seemingly dont have much of at all anywhere on the pitch

Have to say I agree with Ian, I dont think we played that badly in fact I think we were the better side for most of the game to be honest but just couldnt put the ball in the net.

I think thats becoming a much too more common occurrance, that is not being able to put the ball in the net despite having the possession we need.

I think its time we gave young players a chance to show at least what they can do. Stick them in and if we lose then they haven't done any worse than the first team so I don't see how it can hurt

Mark44,

If you can guarantee that we are going to lose our next game then your probably right.

BTW If some of the under 18's are that good has the under 18's manager been knocking Steve Bateman's door over telling him about them?

Yes, perhaps, but on a different day we could have scored a hatfull against Soham. Their keeper made 3 or 4 tremendous saves and there were defenders getting blocks in all over the place. Yes we lost and it was a poor result but compared to a few games recently it wasn't a horror performance.

At last a man I can agree with (well sometimes) it wasnt horrific at all.

Let's try and move on and get behind the team on Saturday, we are at home and more than capable of making a lot of noise. I am sure the players will appreciate it as well.
