Loosely - It has everything to do with it, a woman like Sheryl Gascoigne would be like a red rag to a bull to someone like Paul Gascoigne, as you know Gazza is hyperactive to put it mildly and not a pipe and slippers sort of bloke, Sheryl probably just wanted to stay at home every night in front of the box and that must have got his goat in a big way.

Missunderstood - I think what kicked this whole debate off was when I said that I could possibly see why Paul Gascoigne used Sheryl as a punchbag but that was only my humble opinion. My comments were based on the Paul Gascoigne who we all know and love whereby he would have been far more suited to a 'ladette' type such as Zoe Ball, Denise Van Outen, Sara Cox or Edith Bowman rather than a set in her ways, dull as ditch water, Sheryl Gascoigne.
