Fixtures & Results - Saturday 30 October

Recommended Posts

does any body no if padbury will get the win awarded yesterday as brache said they only had 6 players . o but they have a res . has this happened before will the game have to be replayed ?

A similar situation happened a couple of seasons ago when Welwyn Garden City failed to fullfill a fixture against St.Margaretsbury, WGC not having enough players on that saturday. It was the morning that the WGC manager at the time decided to quit. This fixture was replayed at a later date and WGC fined.

Steve - What results. How was your game yesterday against Dunton.

lost 5-3, it's been one of those seasons so far where just getting a team out is a minor miracle after losing 6 players to higher league clubs in October we had an injury & half term availability crisis on Saturday. having Only 2 recognised defenders didn't really help our case. Still, law of averages should suggest everyone will be available at the same time soon & we might start climbing the table.

Sorry Rhodes, you will have to wait a little bit longer for finding the first side to beat us in the League :brille008:

Current betting:

Hertford Town 9/1

Dunstable Town 8/1

Aylesbury United 6/1

Oxhey Jets 12/1

No team by the end of November 4/5

You lost the other night mate, no excuses that it's just the league that matters...YOU LOST.

So question is, Who is the ONLY unbeaten SSML team to date this season in any competition?

There is more than one. coffee%20%282%29.gif

Reserves not included

:)

As the greek bloke won't tell you I will.

Prem: No Teams

Div 1: No Teams

Div 2: Padbury

Res Div 1: Royston

Res Div 2: London Lions

So in all 3 teams unbeaten in all comps....

I thank you.

The 61 FC v Risborough game abandoned after 20 mins.

Rumour has it that a fatal incident occurred close to the playing area where the game was being played, anyone know anything on this, not saying the clubs concerned were involved as it is an open council area, however we play 61 FC tomorrow say may hear summit, just hope no one from either club were affected.

Herts FA Senior Centenary Trophy 1st Round

0 4 Tring Corinthians v Berkhamsted

48

A report on this one sided affair:

Herts Senior Trophy : Tring Corinthians 0 Berkhamsted 4. Att 45 (hc). No admission charge or programme. Bacon bap £2.20; Chips £1; Tea 50p

Someone on the organising committee thought the clocks went back last night hence the 1.30 kick-off at Tring! Corinthians are back in Tring after ground sharing at Hemel while they brought their own ground up to scratch.......I can only guess that plan has been abandoned!

The ground is on Icknield Way which is essentially the town by-pass and is very basic indeed. There's a small car park off inside the gates with the dressing rooms in front of you and the clubhouse on the left. The pitch is in front of the dressing rooms and this end is roped. The remaining three sides are fenced off from neighbouring fields and are unroped; a few spectators did stand along one side almost on the touchline - I'm struggling to think of a ground at this level with so few spectator vantage points. The teabar had hot food and drinks but allow some time! The club used to issue but have ceased and don't have immediate plans to resurrect a programme. With most of todays spectators being visitors, that's not hard to understand. Before kick-off we had a minute's silence for a Corinthians player recently killed in action in Afghanistan........

Tring are midway down the South Midlands Division Two with Berko flying unbeaten at the top of Division One and an away win was always on the cards. Two goals in either half did the job on a pleasant blustery afternoon but my anticipated goal-fest didn't materialise.

Not much to report, Cliff. A mundane game which Holmer Green pinched very late on. Biggleswade United looked the more likely winners in the second half as they had most of the possession but got caught by a well organized Holmer Green in the dying minutes.

I hardly had anything to do in what was one of the easiest games I've had this season.

Assessor seemed pleased with my performance so hope for a good mark when the assessment comes through.

Did you catch a game on Saturday?

Did you catch a game on Saturday?

Well exactly, that's why I asked, was it just coincidence that you were given a 'dead rubber'.

I attended Harpenden Town v Welwyn Garden City on Saturday in the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy, quite a decent game.

Welwyn Garden City again, have they presented you with a 'stalkers' badge yet. :applaus:
