TONBRIDGE ANGELS

Interesting views of the game, some points I agree with and some not. We all have our own opinions of Players , their ability and more importantly their willingness to do that bit extra.

Unfortunately, I felt that there were a few yesterday that di NOT do that bit extra which was required.

Considering Tonbridge are near the top of the Prem we did very well and for long periods did not look out of place, but, we had no firepower.

It took until the 85th min for us to ruffle the hair of the keeper and he showed he did not like it. Why did we wait so long to introduce Morton and Campbell.

I have said before that we seem short of a "plan B" and at 0-2 down at half time it was crying out for a change to upset their "not so good" back four.

We have failed - tried maybe - but we have failed to replace Stuart once he confirmed he was going. We lack firepower up front.

Not sure it is fair to expect him to create miricles when he gets back, when ever that is.

The next 5 or 6 games are fairly criticle for the remainder of this season. Let's hope we are still up there come December.

In my opinion, we are 3 or 4 players short of winning the title.

One thing you have to remember is that Steve is on a budget at The Town and a budget can only provide the services of certain players. I doubt if Needham or Wingate lost their goalscorers they would be able to pay for another front man of equal ability. What we do know is that Stuart will be back in December time and Ben, Kirbs and Deniz much sooner so their is no reason to panic.

You me and everyone else are just a little desperate in being convinced this is our promotion season, I'm convinced the oponents goal nets will be bulging when a couple of our guys already mentioned return.

I think we are in good hands, just have to get back to scoring goals and getting our next win, let it be Tuesday in front of a very large and supportive Town fans

Don't all managers have a budget? Of course they do and we have an average of over 200 supporters for each home game which should help compared to some.

I've seen weaker penalties given than the challenge on Sammy Byfield by their keeper in the first half... He did get contact on the ball but also played the man as well looking at it again??... As they say though these things even themselves out over the season.....Our penalty against Waltham Forest in the FA cup was near enough the same sort of incident where the ball was won and the player fouled too and that was given?

COME ON TOWN!!!

Could not agree more Stone Cold, we have not had a decent away draw since the days of the Cherry Red whatever it was called Trophy & the first season in the vase, Wroxham away & some team near Ipswich as I recall.

Arky Tonbridge was a nice trip, but I long for the proper away days where you get up at 7am & get back at 11pm! lol
