Is it the pitch?

Rather than the pitch Gazza it could be two other simple answers

1. The team are new and the coaching management team are new and every level of football has its drumbeat, Your coaching staff look good enough to get in tune (eventually)

but

2. are the team good enough, do they need one or two more Ryman premier regulars who can direct the traffic on the pitch

What you do not need is to get into a solid losing habit where players expect to lose

Hmmm been offline for a few days, missed a bit so I think i'll wade into this one first!

I don't necessarily think the pitch is to blame for our results, or those of Chelmsford, although I think there are similarities between the two club's positions I would suggest these are more to do with both clubs having to make do with limited financial resources!

Having said that, I would suggest that thus far we have performed better away from home, against Hayes in particular, but also Hitchin, we failed to perform.

I think that we are paying a heavy price for the Aylesbury game, and in particular the nature of the defeat. If we had been 3 down and gone on to lose 3-2 it would have been better for us, but to let slip a 3-2 lead has hit the team's confidence hard. Unfortunately, and this was always the concern with a hugely inexperienced squad, we have struggled to bounce back from this defeat.

The major issue of late has been our inability to score goals. Against Bognor and Carshalton we created enough chances, but failed to score. Perhaps we've been unfortunate in that we have two strikers in Andy Jones and Luke Bauckham who have yet to kick a ball this season. Apparently AJ is nearly ready to return, which would be a boost particularly as Gary Ansell is obviously struggling for fitness.

At the back we've looked a lot stronger in the last 2 games with Reddington and Dormer at centre back allowing Russell to push into midfield.

I don't know what the situation is regarding the possibility to bring in a couple of new players, but I would think that an experienced player or 2 would be valuable in turning this run arround.
