Witham Town lost ground in the Essex Senior League promotion race after being held to a 1-1 draw at bogey team Hullbridge Sports.

 

Town failed to beat Hullbridge last season and they were frustrated again by the Bridge at Lower Road.

 

Witham manager Danny Greaves said: “Hullbridge took four points out of six against us last season and one of the only good things to come out of the match was that we didn't lose.

 

“It was probably the worst that we have played all season and I don't think any of our players can come out of it with any real credit.

 

“It's a horrible place to go and play football and the only positive is that we don't have to go there again this season.

 

“Hopefully it's just a blip and every team has one at one time or another.”

Me too always reminds me of my 2nd game for Manor we lost 2-1 and Jenko had a lil fit nearly cried and punched the ball bag like a fairy.

Lol- He couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag- he had no chance against a bag of balls, hopefully it was stopped before Jenko got hurt.
