Anyone going to Leighton...

Recommended Posts

The crowd wont be more than 38 if most of you lot sit on you bums at home rather than getting to the ground and supporting the players.

Burnell was asked to leave the pitch - did not see a red card but we will have to wait to see if the ref reports it.

A steady performance would sum tonight up, with Sam Bateman doing the full 90 mins and Antony Thomas punning in an acceptable performance - tried to do cleaver touch stuff, but most of the time it did not work - still not convinced.

A win is a win and we are into the next round - will have to see who we draw.

fair play StainesRebel for going it doesn't sound like many Slough fans did go.

good to hear that we won although if playing anywhere near our best we should beat teams like Leighton tbh. just need to find a way of Sippetts transforming his awesome cup form to the league now!!

who is Ben Abbey who is listed as a sub? surely not the experienced non league striker is it?? apologies if its a youth player as i haven't had the chance to get down there this season

Just back from the game...a good responce from Slough...no Sean Sonner tonight as he was attending a funeral...

about 30 from slough tonight ! not brilliant but not un excepted ...however Leighton had their muppets out tonight ! giving it large about

their win last Saturday ! in fact cant remember if they were there at Hollowsways park..cus I only counted about 10 at the most from Leighton including their officals.. so the Muppets were not even there...last Saturday ...so called supporters !

Glad I went tonight good to see Slough win..for a change... up the rebels...

Ben Abbey....ex Cambridge Utd amongest some of the teams he has played for...

tony mendy (youth Player) was on the bench..sadly did not get on...

Last night wasnt our best game but it was better than most of our last few games.

Sippetts first goal wasnt really his as he flicked to ball on from the corner (not goal bound) and it rebounded off one of there defenders into the goal. I suppose we should let him claim it though just so that he can get the bottle of brandy =].

The second goal also came from a corner, coyne curled in the cross which yads then headed onto the bar and then sippo only had to head it back towards goal to get his second of the night.

The third goal came from a long ball down field (not sure who from) which sippo chested down then beat two defenders before hitting th ball back across the keeper to get his hat-trick.

Burnell's red card came when he challenge for a header and got a kno k in the head, he went to the ground and after a few seconds i think he shouted something like for F*** sake ref. The ref then stopped the game to send him off.

my MoM probably has to go to sippo.

Had a lovely relaxing journey last night to and from the game, no running commentary on traffic, no keep changing of lanes, absolutely stress free, Yes you have guessed it Aidan was NOT driving so many thanks Mr Sliski real bliss.

Quite enoyed the game, started off well, had a bit of a quiet spell at the start of the second half but soon picked up again, well done guys.

Thought Antony played quite well too, made some good crosses.

Also encountered the "Leighton Grandad Chav Brigade" quite amusing for grown men!!!

Burnell sent off for foul and abusive language as per twitter. Not sure on the ban length but a needless sending off. Paul Coyne also collected his fifth booking and will serve a one game ban in two weeks time.

Paul Coyne collected his sixth booking last night. He got his fifth booking in Saturday's game against Leighton and will miss the home game against Rugby.
