Enfield Town 2-1 Clacton Town

I have to confess after our start to the season I was expecting a defeat so the start of Autumn was warmed by the best and most comprehensive win of the season was a real joy - ETFC were worthy winners. A team performance much more in keeping with what Enfield expects.

Clacton were a disapointment - their first attack on goal in he 40th minute. And then an own goal early into the second half. Sun was in keepers eyes. Clacton then move out of goalless draw mode and ETFC got the second before they nicked their first and set-up a nailbiting climax. Clacton didn't look so close to the top of their league.

Could the Eastway league be so much better than the Ridgeon for quality this season? Maybe not but a 356 fans were warmly entertained.

Oh to be there when Enfield Town FC draw Southport FC and "Southport" gets divided loyalties. Maybe a while to go yet but it is nice to dream! And then the bigger team still - Ah happy memories!

Best performance of the season so far...Maybe a combination of the pitch not being as hard as last week, and Clacton not flying into the tackle, the way ESL teams do.

The midfield dominated all game.(Negus man of the match again).

The defence were solid and composed until the last ten minutes.

so that's 2 goals scored ,in each of the last 3 games, and thats still without finding the right combination up front....once thats achieved,i feel we can put a good run together.

I've just heard Alex Ferguson excuse that he heard the town won and his prospects of lifting the cup this year, would be thwarted by the town at old trafford.

I say just bring them on, Cardiff here we come.

I couldnt make it was it a good match?

whilst the result is everything, yes it was quite good. First half a bit too defensive; but in the light of recent errors, this was to be expected.

2nd half we looked more confident and the ball was on the ground, well occasionally.

overall good entertainment, shame there weren't a few more through the virtual turnstile

Dear Bacardi

It's called having a laugh and a dream. Isn't that part of being a footie supporter is all about.

Yours sincerely

Mr Happy

PS Some dreams do come true. Look at Wimbledon when they won the FA Cup in the 80s

PPS P*** Off
