IS SMUDCE A CURSE?

I may even stop going to C.C.L. games because the last 4 games I have been too,all Premier, the Officials have been dire. Tonight at Dorking was a clear example of what ruins a game. Before I go any further Guildford City were worthy winners and are live Championship contenders.Dorking are an improving young side, who try to play Football.Guildford were awarded a Penalty in the first half that was never a penalty, saved by Mcbride in the Dorking goal. But in the 2nd half Guildford ,were denied a Penalty when the Ref. blew for a foul, that in my opinion was not a foul, but the Ref deemed it was, then inexplicably gave a free kick on the edge of the box.A STONEWALL PENALTY.The most damning part of his performance was when a Guildford Player sustained a head injury, and lay stricken on the floor, gasping for breath, bad thoughts went through my head,he was more interested in talking to players in the other half, about an earlier decision, than the Players welfare.Tonight he was not helped by 2 Flag Happy Assistants, who I could at the ripe old age of 62 ,leave for dead.I think I need to take a rest.No consistency exists amongst Officials, and Players rise to the bait another nice £70 to Surrey F.A.,THEY NEED IT.

Smudge not sure what we will be able to do about officials, however all I can say is that in the main they are unbiased so decisions go both good and bad to both teams. If supporters think they can do better they should try putting on the black kit.

Sometimes if you pay peanuts you get monkeys...If the renumeration for officials was adequate you may a better class of ref and more people wanting to take it up.

I dont think we should be aspiring to getting an unbiased ref. i think smudge is talking as a neutral, that wants consistancy. from our refs, not that he needs me to talk for him.coffee%20%282%29.gif

Smudger and I chewed the fat long and hard during the DFC - Guildford City game over the standard of the young up and coming referee's.

I can only say that I agree whole-heartedly on his comments above.

Even I, at the tender age 63 could have kept up with play better on the line, and in fact, I still do on the odd occasion !
