BGU don't have a budget...... honestly..... Eton Manor are the one I've seen that could potentially upset the applecart..... but they'll need to do better against the "big 4" than they did on Saturday where it looked like the occasion got to them a bit. I believe Eton Manor are paying £10 win bonuses according to one of their players. So I suppose you can call that £110 a week when they win and £0 per week when they don't?!

Makes me sick when people lie I wish I had a budget cause then I would not lose any players fact the players that leave are the ones that need a bit of money I'm lucky to have a some players in my team that don't need the money but it really pisses me of when people say we have a budget if I have a budget and 1 day I hope to do cause the chairmen knows for us to compete and progress we will need a budget. I will come on here and inform u all that we pay cause no dissrespect to any team or manager but if I had half of what some teams have I would win the league with my eyes closed that's a promise, but what I and everyone @ bethnal do is try to compete cause on the pitch its 11 vs 11 and to be fair I would say my squad is has good if not better den those that pay. But has u all no getting paid for doing something u love will always help and prob get more out of players wrong I no but its a fact

Not only do BGU not have a budget - but Stansted don't hagve anywhere near £750 per week. Last season they won the league on nothing..... think they may have a very small budget this year, but it would be along the Eton Manor lines of £150 per week or something.

 

At the end of the day the "big 4" are up there because they are the best sides.

ha ha I knew that would get a reaction. I have no idea what sort of budget any team has I just plucked some figures out of the air.

 

gaffa i disagree that you would "win the league with your eyes closed if you had a budget". a very naive thing to say.

firstly players that play for nothing are there because they want to be and therefore you get more out of them on the field.

if a player is only with a team because of the money then do they have the same passion or desire for the badge?

with money comes egos and dressing room talk about who is on what.

imo having a budget is nice but comes with added pressures that you are not facing at the moment.

bear that in mind if your chairman comes into some "spare cash"

Gaffa great passion mate but a bit contradictory - you say if you had a budget you'd win the league then go onto say that the squad you have now is as good if not better than the three other sides mentioned on here that are paying dough

 

If that is the case you should win it this year and then when your chairman dips into his pocket you will have a nice budget to start life in the Ryman !!!

 

To be fair Enfield have £1500 a week which is double what most Ryman One sides have this year

 

Finally Barking Mad agree with your comment money doesn't always buy success - look at Burnham in seasons gone by. Players only in it for there little brown envelopes at the end of the game (in some cases the envelopes were at bursting point)

If I had anywhere near the money those clubs have and did not win the league I would resign, end of and barking mad u defo are mad if u think some players care about the club there @ loooool I no. Few players that if that did not get there money or the club cuts there budget there out of there quick time, onebreast If I could afford it I would of paid golby out of my own pocket, he was always honest with me so I have so much respect for him, money don't but succuess but sure does help

Since i referred to the 'big spenders' i should reply to this,i and everyone else on here doesnt have actual access to other clubs business dealings,but of course players talk and the ESL is quite incestous so we all hear things.If BGU say they have no budget then as i have stated before its not for me to doubt them and its also none of my business but despite it being a urban myth most people in the ESL believe BGU have a budget.That belief may be due to jealously at your success but its something which is there all the same.

i believe that most of the mistaken speculation on budgets comes from departing players, no player will say hes joining another club for £10 more so they say its £50 a week more to ease their guilty conscience.
