Shame you weren't filming TRS as our amazing 4 match unbeaten run continues . I say amazing as for 2 1/2 of those 4 games we've been really poor.Just as we were rescued by the penalty fairy against Molesey the own goal pixie came to our aid last night. The Epsom goal was an OG by the Ash 5 who had already hit his own post with a slice in the first half . Just after the own goal there was a back pass mix up which the Ash keeper managed to scurry back and hack clear just as it approached the line . I'm not sure if it was the 5 who played the back pass . I'm not sure if there's ever been a hattrick of OG's in a game but that's as close as I've seen .

General consensus is that Ash probably deserved it . A lots been made of refereeing on this thread and one common theme is that people have not reacted well to what they saw as poor decisions. Another dissent booking for us last night when people should be more concerned with improving their own performance.

I was filming as it happens! Should be up this evening. Yes, I see your goal was an OG and the Ash one was Dallaway I think. Also got the slice and the backpass on film!

Cove 1 Hanworth Villa 1

We started much the brighter side and deservedly went 1 up on the half hour mark through Tom McGarry or and OG…… (dubious goals committee with have to decide that one). Then 5 mins before half time Villa had a free kick just outside the box which was well converted into the bottom corner, although a big mix up between the keeper and the wall didn’t help things.

In the 2nd half Hanworth came out much stronger and had a string of good chances. Could of and possibly should have won the game. At the end of it a drew was probably a fair result.

You forgot to mention the Hanworth defender who should have been sent off as he was the last man with Elliot bearing down on goal with just the keeper to beat! No sending off, no penalty (adjudged to be outside the box), no goal from the free kick. Sounds like at that point, Hanworth got away with murder!

Fair assesment 2nd half though. Cove were crap. Yet again we should have put the opposition away 1st half and paid the price 2nd half!

Hopefully i'll be fit Saturday and can have some input other than screaming at certain players from the sidelines!

Cove should have been a couple clear 1st half. Hanworth dominated 2nd half and also should have had a couple of goals. Sounds like a draw was probably the fair result!

Whats confusing about that?

As Johnno said NG, each team had their half where they 'could of and probably should have won it'

We were missing a couple of key players and have a half fit striker but all credit to HV as i thought they looked a decent side.

Epsom & Ewell 1-1 Ash Utd

Only arrived 5 mins into this game, as i'd intended to watch Warlingham v Frimley and found the ground in darkness at 7.30!

Was 0-0 when I got to Merstham and Ash scored just before half time (not sure who). Lots of chances both ends, not sure who got Epsom's equaliser either! Ref seemed to frustrate both teams and booked nearly everyone it seemed. He was being assessed too i think! Draw was probably fair result.

Good to briefly meet aupostie at the end!

TRS apoplogies for your waisted journey!! I actually wasnt there last night but the Referee called it of at 6:45 due to the ball not being able to roll across certain areas of the pitch and with the rain still pouring down he called it off with the players safety as the main reason.

Not sure what sort of side Camberley put out last night, didn't look like title contenders to me,specially first half.

Four of the starting eleven played in Saturday's game, three of the subs did. But that's not an excuse. All the other players have played some first team football this season and they should have played better like we know they can.

I agree we didn't offer much first half but I think most of that is because Molesey didn't let us. They were quick, strong and up for it and played some good football at times. It could easily have been 5 or 6 at half time if Molesey's shooting was a bit more accurate.

Second half was more even - we upped our game whilst Molesey's performance dropped a bit in my opinion.

I didn't think much of the ref's performance although I thought the linos were excellent. Far better than we usually get in the league but on the whole Molesey deserved the win so no complaints.

Good luck against Sutton in the next round.

I'm debating whether to go back tonight for the U18s match in the Grant McLellan Cup. I've got the week off work, the chips at Molesey are top quality and the beer's only £2.20 a pint. I'll make my mind up after my trip to the dentist this afternoon. :phoney:

Must be a Misprint N.G. £2.20 A PINT,cheaper than Weatherspoons.Where as just a short distance down the road, where 2 tier pricing applies, its £3.30 a pint.Who are the Cops and who are the Robbers,NOT POLICE surely. What really amazes me is the price of Burgers at the grounds in C.C.L. 16P for the Bun,25p for a Birds Eye Quarter Pounder, 10p Onions,20p for a slice of Cheese =71p all bought at Icelands.Sold at £2 - £2.50p,a profit of 200% minimum. On an aside, last night at Dorking had the pleasure of wishing Guildford Sweeney a Happy Birthday, and having a chat,he kindly gave me a Guildford Programme which in my opinion are the best I have seen in C.C.L,an excellent read.Mr. Rayner the Guildford Manager also kindly bought yours truly a Beer, and said he still wants to be known as MR. NASTY,Even though he came across as a thoroughly NICE GUY,SO have I sussed out who NICE GUY is.

No problem Tucks. Half expected it, as was monsoon conditions for a bit in Dorking and I know the Whyteleafe pitch is a bit susceptible anyway. Fortunately I go through Merstham on the way back, so all worked out OK. Only surprised the game went ahead at Meadowbank to be honest!

Managed to watch most of the Cobham vs Staines game, and what a game it was. I'm hoping my good run of exciting games continues after also watching Chobham beat Knaphill, take note Sheerwater/Knaphill on Saturday please.

Cobham were fantastic and Staines were brilliant with neither teams really deserving to walk away with nothing but in big games big players step up, Shane Rideout yet again doing the business in front of goal. Now what Knaphill would do to get someone like that hey? Not sure how many that is for him this season but I've certainly seen a few.

yep decent performance. Could have gone either way, there back 4 really struggled with Baxter and rideout up top, as well as edgehill causing some trouble to our (makeshift) back 4. It was pure brilliance that seperated us in the end. I must echo the thoughts of our coaching staff, who feel that man of the match for Cobham was..... The Lammas goal keeper!

Totally agree with the M.O.M! Our goalie has been brilliant for us so far but last night haD a shocker!! I thought all 4 goals were down to him! Great freekick but dont think he should of been beaten at his near post! The first goal he passed to the striker and the 4th i think he thought was goin over and just left it! Anyway great game just gutted to be on the losing side!

Excellant game to watch last night and gutted I'm currently injured especially after our good win on Sat at WP. Very end-to-end and IMO both defences looked shaky, so the scoreline maybe wasn't such a surprise (due to enforced changes we only had one of the GK and back 4 that started at WP, starting in the same position last night, so it wasn't ideal for us)!

Either side would have been dissappointed not to have taken at least a point from the game, but all credit to our boys for digging in and getting the result after throwing away a good lead. Some very good goals on the night and a great hat-trick from Shane.

Thought you were the No 2 Animal, but wasn't sure and after a crunching tackle from your No 3 I deffo wasn't sure ha. Look forward to the return game and hopefully I'll be fit for that one!

PS, the ref was very good IMO and agree with Teffs about the only decision I felt he got wrong.

Yea didnt think that was u jurgs i thought he looked abit young!! I think smudge blew me out of proportion after seeing me do a tackle once! Im a clean player!!! Yea look forward to the next game!

I went to Leatherhead as we faced the winners of the Southern Combination cup tie between them and Chessington which the CCL side won 2-1

Leatherhead had half their first team and half squad players ( deffo not all reserves as they made out before the game) and to be fair should have had a hatful on the night. Chessington have some decent strikers. In particular Ali John who tormented Leatherhead all evening . They took the lead after good work from John . Leatherhead equalised immediatley from a corner and missed other good chances.

Second half all Leatherhead but the C&H keeper was inspired aided by some dodgy finishing. Infact leatherhead missed 2 open goals. I sensed it wasnt to be their night and 10 minutes from time Leacock beat the offside trap and raced clear to finish. Last ten minutes was kitchen sink time but C&H held on to earn the ultimate reward - a trip to Woking Park :welcome:

Ha you noticed as well Leatherhead seemed at pains to say they had a 2nd string out !! I think they had 5 first teamers playing and to be fair we had a few changes ourselves. Thought we probably were 50/50 in the first half the 2nd was all Leatherhead apart from our breakaway goal after that seemed to be the longest 10 minutes in footballing history think maybe the ref didnt want to go home. Glad to be at westfield for the next round as it is only 10 mins home from there!
