Why would anyone want to go there if wages not being paid, alledgedly. Though to be fair maybe new owners have now sorted that out.

Indeed. It would be Groundhog Day for CK...stuck groundsharing at Ashford with no wages for the players. Unless the new owner has promised a cash injection.

Thing is, it's all money down the drain until they get a new ground. Arguably they would have been better off being relegated last season. This year they would have been sharing at Chatham and getting much bigger gates, even in a lower division.

I think I read in the NLP that if they we to return home BUT with an artificial pitch they wouldn't be allowed to progress up the pyramid.True or false I dunno but!

that would leave them with a poser though getting back home will always be surely be the fans first thought I would imagine.

Either.....

1. Go back home at long last but with artificial pitch & no hopes of progression or..

2. Stay away from home & continue with turf & the chance to progress further.

There is of course a

3. A return home on turf, but it seems the new owner isn't wanting to go down this route (for financial reasons)

That's very interesting about not being able to progress with artificial..seems abit odd doesn't it..I'm sure in other leagues over europe top teams have artificial pitches..of course rules may be different in england! Good comment there!!

It's a bit of a mess. FIFA allow plastic (remember England played Russia on plastic a couple of years ago) as do UEFA (Young Boys v Tottenham). No plastic in the FA Cup, but yes in the FA Trophy. But the Conference (all three divisions) don't allow it, so Maidstone would not be able to be promoted from the Ryman Premier.

That's ridiculous rulings! It should be univeral for all! Or at least the FA should state what can and can not be done in respect to all leagues from prem to conference down to ryman and kent leagues...should all be the same..
