Well done Steve and the boys against Cove. Good battling performance and good win.

Whilst we have a lot of work to do to the end of the season, and i maybe looking ahead to far. But what of the sides currently in the top 10 canNOT officially get promoted, due to ground grading/ground share or any other issues.

Teams i imagine are fine are:

Chertsey

Camberley

Egham

Molesey

But is there question marks over the following:

Badshot Lea - Groundsharing issue with Goldaming, i thought you had to be in a groundshare for over one season before being allowed to be promoted, additionally will the Ryman League allow them to groundshare with Goldaming if promoted.

Guildford City - Ground Grading? No bar, no officially board room.

Sandhurst Town - Ground Grading?

Colliers Wood - Ground Grading?

Chessington and Hook - Ground Grading?

Cove - Ground Grading?

Be interesting to hear people's comments or information?

Sandhurst, Cove, Colliers and Guildford I would be surprised if they were anywhere near the standard required.

Camberley, Egham, Chertsey, Badshot Lea and Molesey I think are all either there or not far short.

C+H I think cannot be that far away either.

Sarnie - the ground gradings are on the FA's website. To get promoted from step 5 you need at least an 'E' but a 'D' is needed within 12 months of promotion in order to stay up.

http://www.thefa.com/Leagues/NationalLeagueSystem/~/media/Files/PDF/Leagues/Ground%20grading/Grade%20E%20September%202010.ashx/Grade%20E%20September%202010.pdf

The 'ground sharing for a year' isn't mentioned by the FA. All they say is that groundshares are a matter for the individual leagues. Up until this season the CCL still had the 12 month rule between Division One and the Premier, other leagues had dropped it but the FA passed on a new set of rules to all the leagues in the pyramid at the start of the season.

It's less than clear what the rules are now. They still say Ground sharing is permitted but not in order to gain promotion or to avoid relegation but don't mention any time limits. I'm not sure if league rule 2.4 comes into this cos I can't understand it!

I think the leagues in the pyramid are still having meetings to discuss this issue.

The ground gradings only apply for three years but the last list I saw had Wembley with a 'C', Camberley and Molesey with a 'D' and Banstead and Chertsey with an 'E'. Some of those may have changed recently. Epsom & Ewell and Badshot Lea will now have at least a 'D'. I'd imagine Egham will have at least an 'E'.

One of the grading rules for an 'E' is that you must have at least two operational turnstiles which rules out a few clubs at the moment including Guildford, Cove, Sandhurst, Colliers Wood, Chessington & Hook, Horley Town and possibly one or two others (I can't remember if Cobham or Hanworth Villa have any turnstiles and RPV & Ash may only have one)

The 'E' grading used to say three turnstiles, we built an extra one which we've never used just as the FA changed the number to two.

Be careful now, Sarnie Supporter, spinning round that quickly can cause you to lose your balance and topple over. Still don't know who you are, so perhaps the one who looks like Janus (look it up) is the one we should look for!

Golden rule.

You can't call a bloke a c**k when he slags you off, then accept plaudits from the same person.

If they know nothing about the game when criticising, the same applies when they are throwing compliments around.

Hmm.

Cove is on the list for me. Not sure I fancy Molesey in the SSC . Last time I went there for that particular cup we had 3 players sent off and 1 taken to hospital.

Ash do have 2 turnstiles but only open the one up as there isnt much point in having 2 going when you only get a handful through the gate
