The Rise and Fall

Recommended Posts

Young Jack Ball is a talent thats for sure, seen him a few times now, but the question has to be asked - how long will he stay? Last season this would not have been asked as Knaphill were high flying and looking odds on to get promoted (apart from the missing lights and stands) so they held on to everyone and had their pick of the best players in the league.

But with other teams surely now looking at Knaphill as a bit of a feeder club if things don't improve, Sav first then 5 or 6 others could easily start in most teams, including young Jack. This and the combination of maybe being 3rd choice behind Ricky and Baker could open the door for others clubs?

Is Odgie playing? Last I heard he had an injury or was in the Reserves? Is he in BP's plans? Thoughouly looking forward to watching on Saturday and hopefully enjoying the game with Mr Miles on the side lines, maybe he can explain to me what BP does during the 90 minutes.

BP still has the respect of the players, its quite evidently just a difficult time for all involved at the club currently. Admittedly Bob isnt too vocal on the sidelines, but doesnt really need to, as what he says before and at half time tends to be clear enough for the players to know their roles, some of them are just struggling for a bit of form and confidence. Thats not taking anything away from a few of the teams we have played, certainly think South Park deserved their 3 points and, never thought I would and probably the only time I will ever it say it, Chobham probably deserved to be in the next round of the cup after Saturday. Still very disappointed by the league and Chobham for them not producing a side against us a couple weeks back, but thats another story. Fan of fans, il see you saturday.

'Intershminter'

Stronger squad, same manager, weeker coaching staff and more teams wanting to beat the Knappers more than anyother team in the league. Is 'Odgie getting a game yet and is Jack Ball starting regular. Crying out for you to play 3 up and of Rick, Jack, Baker and Pimmy if fit. Spoilt for choice in midfield as well. Tank, Fox and Brunt as a 3 looks pretty sound to me.

Has BP changed anything to try and put things right or is it just 4 4 2 and knaphill will come out on top eventually? Is he still playing the commitment, workrate endevour record!!

Intershminter,

You seem to know knaphill very well. We dont just play 4-4-2, maybe that is the problem and we havnt stuck with one particular formation for longer than 3 games. We played a diamond last year and obviously this worked very well. With players going and coming formations are always changed to fit players. Maybe this does need to be looked at. I think the commitment of some could be questioned but were a great bunch and only have ourselves to look at to sort it out.

Jack Ball is a quality player and should get more minutes. Don't think Odgie has played that much, maybe he should...........................

Intershminter, which team / club are you now involved with?

Up you Knappers!

After the pen miss I've seen of yours on FB, then I'm not so sure..........

The Rise and Fall

Wow this is brilliant, Lets Destroy Knaphill Fc (joking)

Guys a few facts

* As a former player of knaphill fc ( when they were a bit like chobham, no real flair or skill but 1000% hard work and determation with the likes of Nelly, Crozier, Breslin, Old orando, T.J , Mason. Micky walters, Nathan Batch, Dominic , Big Rob .... we wernt great but we battled for our lives out there every week...........

* Knaphill have been promising things for so long ,with the best intentions but have never materalised, DUE TO LACK OF FUNDING being the long and short of it all...... I can honestly say its been near on 5 years and nothings changed!! Nothing at all just a dressing room full of new faces and still no where to train when the nights get dark early.....

* Bob has always let himself down by replacing players who are loyal and commited with someone who says "oh yeah i was at Met police last year! "( [****!!****] me why have you you come down at knaphill) to only find out he was a ressie player who adds no real value to the team then leaves.... ( which in this time pisses the player of postion he took and that person leaves for example this year gav brainch!!)

* Bob is actually a good manager and was never over complicated with tatics.. i think now it has all gone to his head and maybe he needs to go back to basics and start again!! recruit some old players maybe to steady the ship... i know of two or three that are warming benchs and a few with who r at a great age who might come out of retirement who at the moment who would add real value.....

After also speaking to some of the lads and watching them this year theres no real depth either , the reserves have an average age of 10 were as a few years ago it was a late twentys age aveage, its great to influence youth but once they get good enough they tend to take up the better offers ie [****!!****] off and not stick with the side....

It doesnt look great a few of the lads have had offers from various clubs and with the current morale and performances somethings got to give...

Right......

Jurgs - does that mean 'diggity' is actually Odgie? If so, would be great to have your input 'Odgie' as someone who isn't getting a game in the under performing first team, time to let the ressies have a crack?

Wolfman - great points I must say. It did suprise me to see nearly every week from the start of the season a 'new player signed' post on the Knaphill website! They must have 50+ signed on down there, yet only 3 on the bench on Saturday?

Also, out of interest, what has happened to Knaphill TV? No more footage, no interviews? Maybe Bob should make a video of himself and release it to the public to put his story across. Not ganging up on him at all, he is obviously a good manager as look at last year, just think that the way he acted towards now ex-players and other teams has maybe caught up with him now he is struggling!

I play for Westfield on and off, would still be a Knaphill player but for a disagreement with the boss pre-season (because I questioned the validity of claims around the ground improvements and refused to commit to training and playing week in week out due to commitments outside football). BP it very take or leave it, so I left it.

I had friends going back to westfield (where many of us ended up in our late teens when we all blew any chance of playing higher football due to injuries - The most common being a swollen bad attitude!) it just seemed to be right. Nathan know's who I am and so does Trentender. Had a bit of a text conversation with him last night.

I am pretty sure you diggity are a Centre half that reads the game very well!! If not and you are Odgie - Odgie do you want a game at Westfield tonight in a frieldly (it that an illegal approach)? You can play instead of me!! Behind the fromt two I expect, not tracking back at all. would suit your little round frame!

Seriously though a lot of teams in the division and above would love to have their pick of Knaphills squad - that says to me they are underperforming and that has nothing to do with ability or unfamiliarity. I hope you guys turn it around soon and start taking some points of the teams around us.

As for BP. He has his good bits and bad bits like everybody else. He wont hear a bad word said against his players or his club, I respect that, but he has too many derogitory comments to pass on about other players - players that used to be loyal to him - Wolfman listed about 6 or 7 of them but it's a list that contains anyone who choses to take a route other than the BP route, and he ican be rude. Something I never noticed until I returned to Knaphill as a Westfield player this year, so I could suddenly relate to a lot of what has been posted on this forum. To be fair to Bob I am sure he does not realise he is saying the wrong things at some times - an away game at HW springs to mind for thse in the know.

I am far from BPs mate but it seems to have turned into a witch hunt,i am also sure i know all you ex knaphill players as i am ex knaphill staff. ( think hard boys )i used to love the sardnies!!!

but one person canot get things so right and then so wrong ????? i just dont see it,and yes he is rude and well up his own [****!!****] but arnt we all ???.

I personally think letting the mouthy twat go is probbably the best bit of buisness knaphill have done in the last three seasons,i have seen very VERY good players come and go from that club and all because they either played in the same position or were not freinds of the mockney joke!!.Get tank back and nath fit and that team will fly i am certain of this,as for the lights and stand, what has this got to do with anything, you signed for the club to play football,if at the end of the season the promise has not arrived then leave but untill that point you must give ur best and give your all.

Knaphill is a great club and has made HUGE steps in the past five seasons i know i was there, its always the final jump that is the hardest and i am sure the lights and stand will arrive and when they do a lot of clubs above and in div 1 will be looking over there sholders and putting very long arms around there players for fear of loosing them to this future giant.

As for BP if he was to leave i am certain his empty seat will be one of the most sort after jobs in the league,i wonder why if its so bad down there?????????

Two reasons for that chaps. The interviewer has been on a loooonnnnggggg holiday and the camera got nicked, got a new one now so hopefully Knaphill FCTV will back in action this weekend, win or lose! :brille008:

yes i am odgie.................................................................

Think i now know who you are interschminter.

I just need to get fit as im ijured at the moment (sprained foot and damaged bones) + i've got to lose another stone and a half!!!! Then i can truely ask a question of playing week in week out for the first team. I could say things but i will not as i do respect BP and he knows how i feel and that conversation is private between a manager and a player.

Think players need to look at themselves and not others to do things on the pitch! Must be a collective effort also, everyone needs to be pulling their weight! After all Football is a TEAM game.

If we beat sheerwater on saturday no one will be talking about us again for a while im sure off that.
