Im hoping after beating the League Leaders our attendances may start to increase, I bought someone with me yesterday and he wants to come every game now so thats one more!

 

Definate looked like more than 397 yesterday though!

A pathetic attendance against the league leaders. Anyways those that missed the match missed something special & I agree hopefully this will be the spur thats needed to get them to come along next time. p.s.Attendances are way down everywhere I notice & not just here.

Yea I noticed attendances down, its the time of the year isnt it, Bad weather, lots of games, christmas coming up (which is expensive) so crowds do get smaller.

 

Like you said though, the people who dids not turn up missed a cracker! (no pun intended regards christmas)

I thought that seemed a pretty good attendance-don't forget that just one week previous we had lost at home to Bury.

 

Not many care its the league leaders-the half hearted need the stimulation of margate doing well (and consistency) to be persuaded to attend.

 

Biggest problem remains the exit from the cups which helps stimulate interest.

Just to add some facts into the debate, here are our average attendances since we became members (another way of saying "got relegated") of the Ryman League:

 

2005/06 - 690

2006/07 - 677

2007/08 - 531

2008/09 - 523

2009/10 - 369

This Season - 394

 

A couple of people had questioned the wisdom of setting a budget requiring average attendance of 500. Well here's some of the context for that decision. We do have the potential but I would agree that a winning team is key. Perhaps news of yesterday's performance will get round the island.

Well hopefully a good result on Wednesday may persuade a few more supporters to come along to the next home match against Folkstone. Without a home match next Saturday and a Kent derby on the Tuesday a few people may make the effort. Mind you it would have been a lot better if it was on the Saturday.

Don't forget, there may not be a 1st team game on Saturday but, there is a Reserve team match against Beckenham town. It is equally important that we get a reasonable turn out for these games as the Reserve games also incur costs for the club. so please turn up support the youngsters, support the club. It is important.

 

£4-00 adult, £1-00 child and concessions. Burger bar and club house are open.

To get people in you need to have have few irons to pull out of the fire .

A few ideas here .

 

1 . 2 for 1 , one adult pays the other comes free , if the free entry buys something then he`s paid his way .

2 . Reduce the price of a consessions ticket for start the older people are the most important through the gate , they have the memories to tell the new fans .

3 . If you come to 5 games in a row the 6th one is free entry , just keep your tickets for proof .

4 . pick a local school out of a hat then give them 20 free tickets for a home game .

5 . Do what Sutton did and have a family day .

 

Hard and wrong time of yr to get people back though but here are a few sugestions .
