Badshot Lea v Dorking

With apologies to Aaron Ageyman for spelling his name wrong in the credits!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKNiVXW9J4g

Great footage as usual TRS - I see your point about some woeful Dorking finishing.

Did you spot the trick clearly learned from JJ at around 1min30sec - the back heel thru the defenders legs ?

Hadn't noticed that GF, well spotted - Billy Ramsey doing a JJ!

From the Dorking games I have seen so far, Chicks haven't looked like a bottom side in that they are not overrun in games or anything like that. Just need a cutting edge up front. Easier said than done mind!

Is that another new keeper for Badshot Lea?

Dorking gave us quite a game 1st half and with better finishing it might of been a different game but in all fairness we were quite comfortable and had a few more goals in us.

LOL @ the word ANOTHER where Badshot Lea is concerned!

Matt has been with us for a little while now. Decent Keeper.

I guess TRS comments are down to the fact that on the 3 occasions he has filmed the Baggies this season, there have been different keepers. In fact there have been 5 overall (Jon Ashwood, Matt Watson, Lee Allen, Elvis Eckhardt and Matt Smith) - not forgetting the cameo from Keith Emmerson when Elvis was sent off at North Greenford. As TT says, looks like Matt Smith has settled in nicely - never an easy position where any mistake usually means a goal. frown.gif

Out of interest, are there any other "top" Premier sides that don't have a goalkeeper coach - must be difficult for "normal" coaches to cover this specialist position

Just a bit of tounge in cheek there as the ANOTHER word is one always a (sometimes justified) word associated with the Baggies!!

To be fair I have only been at the club since September (And scored 8 Goals but no 30 yard cup final screamers like JJ  ) and its fair to say that the GK position has been a bit of a issue but as is always said players make mistakes all the time on the pitch but goal keepers never have anywhere to hide and i guess its how u come back from errors that makes you a decent keeper/player. Matt to his credit has done really well since coming in and doesnt seem the type to let a mistake affect his game.

A GK coach is very valuable thing to have as otherwise they join with the rest of the lads and end up thinking that they can play out field at training!!

Second goal never offside by the way!! :)

Looking very decent Mr. Ageymagne, wish we could get those 'to feet' & 'threaded balls' at our club lol. Nah just playing mate keep it up, 1st goal was decent, 2nd was slightly off but they all count.

Sandhurst 7 Wembley 2

Not as confortable as it sounds. Took the lead only for Wembley to equalise straight from the kick off. Went in at half time 3-1 up with the third thanks to a gift from the Wembley goalie (short goal kick gone wrong).

Wembley pulled a goal back from the spot at the start of the second half but after that put plenty of pressure on the goal, but did not force me into a save (a combination of not taking chances and good defending).

Going forward we were awsome and took advantage of a couple of more gifts. IMO the best goal was when a cross from the right was missed by the 8ft centre back when he tried to head it and out 3ft midfielder headed the ball in at the far post.

Wembley are a decent side and will pick up more points soon, it was just one of those days when things went well for us (and perhaps could have had 2 or 3 more goals).

thought we dominated the 1st 30 mins Dunc's. I can remember Justin pulling off 2 decent saves and we had chances to score that Egham threw their bodies in front of in those 30 minutes. That was all we had to give and barely got going 2nd half !

Raising myself out of bed this morning was tough with all the bruises sustained yesterday but i did expect it and will bounce back Tuesday....IF FIT !

Was that you, the No 6 with the rueful smile after we had gone 1-0 up. We were as shocked as anyone - Pommers' dad said we looked like a different team in the second half. I heard Koo say to push Johnno up and the No 16 (I think) to sit in front of your defence and once we had taken off Romayne and put Oaksy on we looked a lot more effective. To be fair though, Cove were the more cohesive side in the first half. Thank heavens the Noady thing didn't get in anyone's way!

I was surprised the nursing home allowed the retired Noady out to play !cheesy%20(2).gif

Sheerwater 0-5 Lammas (correction)

12 goals in two games what will help the goal difference, Ben jacob opened the scoring with a freekick which was horrible for the SW defence to defend, Ryan Williams doubled the lead in the second half with a volley from 6 yards, then new signing Ryan Curtis came on to make his debut and made an impact instantly, finding room down the left to cross a ball across the goal to find Jacob for his second, George Baldock also got in on the act with a brave header, then Luke Edgehill who was terroising the defence all game got a deserved goal, finishing neatly. A good result which now puts us in good stead against Cobham tomorrow night, who got a great result against WP at the weekend so it should be a good 1!!!!!!

watched the 1st one and yes a few tackles went in but i think Blaze got away quite lightly. I wasnt so lucky on Tuesday. Nursing a sore jaw and stud scrapes down my achilles. Egham finished me off nicely on Saturday. Still asking myself why the heck i play footy!

Bedfont sports 1-1 Warlingham

Old cliche ..game of 2 halves Warlingham domintaed the first and had the better chances to take a lead. Bedfont played neat and tidy first half no end product uptop though.

Second half Bedfont had the better chances and they missed a penalty on 65 which seemed to hit bedfont hard and their heads dropped Warlingham battled away and got goal on 75 and a goal that I thought was enough to win the game then on 86 a harmless ball in to warlingham penalty area beats the right back and falls to the bedfont sub to smash home 1-1. Warlingham then go and press and Lee Jansen hits the bar from 20 yards and we miss rebound aswell. Over all you cant be dissappointed witha point at Bedfont but I thought we had done enough for all 3. Must say excellent facilities and a decent club Bedfont Sports. Pitch was superb. Down side the referee..... Shocking!! if any Bedfont Sports posters are on this forum tell me what you think!!

yes fair report,1st half you played some nice football prob the best side i have seen this year,we missed adam turner up top had got 7 in 3,the new boy ben played well hitting the post,2nd half we played a bit better but only in 2nd gear.

thought we was on top when we got the pen and then you when up the other end and got the goal, had to dig deep to get the goal and then the game went end 2 end.

good game like you said ref was shocking both ways, good banter on the line with you Tucks buy the way you didnt give me a pound for the bet no push in the box form a corner

i will get it off you next month

Ha Ha i genuinely forgot about that. He was shocking both ways and made a rod for his own back early doors. Think we play you soon quick return in fixtures so I make sure I will double or quits on something.

Thought Cove were the much better side in the first half although we were crap!

Wide left player looked decent

Second half was the complete opposite as we woke up.

Thought Jonno was the best player on the park for the first hour.

I think we committed 5 fouls in the whole game and everyone was on Jonno.(sorry mate !)

The one before half time wasn't the best but i dont think it was a red card tackle.

Thought the ref overall was very good

Was good to meet Medic and Duncs but didnt see Jonno after.

i was in the bar Steve nursing my dead leg that has now kept me out of tonight's match versus Hanworth Villa flame.gif

Was sitting on one of your lovely armchairs!

The bad tackle looked worse than it actually was. I managed to jump my standing foot out of the way cos if i hadnt, i would have been seriously injured as all my weight was on that foot. Then it would def had been a sending off.

We did play well 1st half and if Justin hadnt been on good form we may have gone in at half time 1 or 2 goals to the good.

The accidental collision with your right winger before half time gave me a dead leg that hampered me 2nd half and it wasnt until all the subs had been used did i receive another whack on it, meaning i was unable to have any affect on the match, hence why i was shoved up front out of the way!

Pitch was lovely by the way and credit to your groundsman cos i used to hate playing at Egham due to the pitch always being quite poor! I now look forward to playing on that surface!
