It is with regret that we have to announce the passing of Colin Lipiat.

Colin was a big part of the club in the early 80's. I wont go into details of what he achieved at the club as I will only get it wrong.

The thoughts of all at the club are with Colin's family at this time.

So soon after his brother-in-law Brian Caterer passed away and now Colin, God bless his soul.

I would struggle to think of a more successful coach in the non-league game over the last 30 years following his spells with us,Woking, St.Albans and Yeovil.

Whichever club he was at I know the first result he always looked for after a game was Windsors'. He still popped into the club during the day for the odd cuppa and a chat or would sometimes ring me if we hadn't seen each other for a while and all because deep down I think Windsor was his spiritual home, something he alluded to in the wonderful eulogy he gave at Brian Caterers' funeral so recently.

I can just see him and Brian up there now looking back at some of the wonderful players who've worn the Royalists colours over the years and trying to pick their best 'Heaven Eleven' !

Another legend gone, RIP Colin Lippiat - a true Royalist.

Steve, I echo everything you've said above. Colin was a true gentleman who always maintained a soft spot for Windsor. A sad, sad loss for the football community he really was one of the finest non league coaches of the last twenty or thirty years. Condolences go to his family at this difficult time.
