transfers ?

Surprised none of the money sides have made a move for any Guildford players?Chertsey don't seem to be having the usual merry go round of players which should mean a better season for them. Badshot Lea seem to have taken on that mantle and sign a new face weekly. Camberley seem to be following suit now although the players coming in don't seem to be any better than what they have and definately not in the same class as the baggy lea signings.

You seem to be implying that Guildford aren't one of the 'money sides'. I doubt their players that live in the Croydon area are going down there for a babycham and a packet of crisps a week.

Perhaps some of Guildford's players have had approaches from other clubs. I'd be surprised if they haven't as I think they're right up there with Chertsey as being the best side in the division although that is based on only seeing them once.

I don't know all the approaches Camberley have put in or all the approaches we've had but I know there are far more than player transfers.

Just a thought, but Ian Savage joined 10th October - should not 28 days elapse before a team can transfer another player from the same Club? How did you get around that one Daniel?

I believe the rule is 28 days from the initial approach for the first player and not the actual transfer date.

Think FA Rule C 2 (a) (v) covers this.

very good signing am sure some others will follow , can see eversley if not this here then def next year having a good go at getting promoted

Always on the look out for new Talent gman10! Realistically we have a plan to continue to improve our squad and finish higher than our eighth of last season. With the off field progression in full swing I see next season to be our big push for promotion.

Well i think we were all waiting for it wern't we. I believe it was actually the departure of Gav Brainch that got the wheels in motion, a good loyal player being over looked time and time again by BP who favoured the 'better' new players. Now add Sav and Baker to the list, plus the young Alex Lumley (thought he looked good when I saw him) it now appears the door will stay open in one direction...OUT.

I was at the game on Saturday and it was a cracker. Sheerwater must have had someone at the Chobham game the week before because they did exactly the same to Knaphill as had happened then, turned it physical and played as a team, giving nothing short than 100% for 90 minutes. BP wasn't there (believe he was ill) so he couldn't be held responsible for his teams naivety from the word go. The Sheerwater CM (Woodley?) sprayed balls over the Knaphill defence time and time again and I must say 95% of them were spot on! Not once did I see any of the Knaphill players try and do anything about it and nor did I see any instruction from the bench to prompt this. That said, Sheerwaters goal came from a quick angled ball over the left backs head from Woodley and the striker who was brilliant on the day cooly finished. Tough tackling game and lots of shouting at the ref from both sides throughout and finally ended in 2-2, thanks to a wonder strike from Brunty and a great subs appearance from a new boy from Chertsey? Not sure what the deal is there as I saw a bloke there cheering him on wearing a Chertsey FC jacket, some sort of loan deal?

Great result for Sheerwater and a bad one for Knaphill. The next weeks will be the defining moment in their season I feel.
