Noady has signed for Cove.

 

 

He may have dragged a pen across a piece of paper but surely Cove would need to have put in a 7 dayer? Wayne would need to look hard at himself too if he has, in effect, told SB an almightly great lie. Here's hoping Cove have done everything properly; if they sign a player who has made himself unavailable for another CCL side and it is all above board then that other side, us, will have to take it on the chin. As far as Steve releasing Wayne is concerned, he is not the club secretary, whose job it would be to tell the League that the player is free to sign for another CCL team; at least that is my understanding.

To say i am unhapy with this would be the understatement of the year !

If Noady wants to tell me he's retired so he can leave and go and play for Cove then thats down to him.

However if i had been consulted on this i would have expected Cove to put a 7 day in and then he could have gone.

However this has not happend and Cove have spoken to him while he was still registered with Egham.

Before anyone denies this i was aware that they had approached/tapped him up why he was still signed for us.

I know that for a fact.!

He has since been released and they have clearly signed him.

 

If anyone is aware of anything else going on at Egham please feel free to let me know.

 

Tomorrows game should be interesting ?

How do you know Steve??

 

The 1st i heard that Noady had left Egham was when you posted it on hear that he had announced that he'd retired which i found hard to believe.

 

I am usually 1st to hear if Koo is interested in a player and never did he mention to me that Noady was thinking of leaving Egham for Cove.

 

We now have 5 centre halfs at the club all fighting for 2 spots! If Koo had planned weeks ago that Noady was to join us then why would have aquired another centre back from Ashford town?? We now have too many centre backs!

 

Have just spoke to Koo and the word he repeated to me many times is "B0llox !!"

 

He had not spoke to Noady before his announcement to urself that he was retiring!

 

He has joined Koo more than Cove! Noady respects Koo very much and gets on really well with him. They know each other really well and when Koo contacted Noady, he asked him to come out of retirement to play at Cove - which he did!

 

Everything was done above board!

There has been no tapping up, no illegal approaches!

 

Cove asked for Noady to be released which at 1st Egham refused and asked for the 7 dayer to be put in!

 

Our secretary then pointed out that last season egham asked for Cove to release Jamie Keith to avoid the paper work of a 7 dayer in which we obliged without any fuss!

 

Egham rightly changed their mind and released Noady immediately!

There is no allegation. They did tap him up whilst he was registered. Thats a fact !

Wayne contacted our secretary after this and was released without my knowledge.

At that point he signed for Cove.

The whole thing stinks !

my understanding was that he left after a falling out with his manager. I'll leave Steve to clarify this......

 

You wouldnt normally expect the captain to leave for no reason.......officially retire.......and then join a club with a worse budget!
