Well another evening spent with the lads last night's stop Ash United. I picked up one of the players from Farnborough railway station and arrived at Ash's ground at 6:30pm. The gateman greeted us and let us in. I had to pop out to my car and again exchanged pleasantries with the gateman. As I always do I met the Ash guy (nice bloke but I can't remember his name) and we shook hands and went to the ref's room to exchange the team sheets.

The game started and was end to end stuff, no injuries and ended up in a 2 - 1 win. At the end of the game I shook hands with most of the Ash brench and one or two of their players, also the ref and his assistants. I was one of the last people to leave the pitch (as I'm getting on a bit), in front of me was one of our players, and then the night went down hill!!!!!!

Outside the Ash dressing room was Mr B and as expected he was a bit upset (nothing wrong with that, I hear you say) however, the player in front of me looked in his direction, and then it started...."What are you looking at you ******" he said to the player, the player ingnored him and walked into the dressing room, I looked across at Mr B, and then he said...wait for it...."What do you want you fat c***", I didn't answer, I just walked into the dressing room unable to believe my ears, even the dressing room were shocked. I left the ground shortly afterwards. Thanks for ruining a great night of football Mr B!!!!!!!

By the way we are away to Egham on Saturday, looking forward to shaking Steve's hand.......Unless he call's me a ?

MEDIC, NOT NICE ! VERY SAD TO HEAR THAT TYPE OF TALK & ACTION.

HOPE THE COVE PLAYER WASN'T JJ ?? .......ALSO PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME AND EXCUSE MY IGNORANCE, BUT WHO IS MR. B AT ASH A PLAYER, THE MANAGER, CHAIRMAN ?

I RECALL JJ SAYING THAT THERE IS SOME RIVALRY BETWEEN THE 2 CLUBS SO THAT MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT NOT TO THE EXTENT YOU CLAIM ABOVE.................DISAPPOINTING AND CERTAINLY SHAMEFUL MR.B !

Unfortunately Medic, the Ash manager does have a way with words and can be very disrespectful at the best of times. I played along side him for 8 seasons and have never known him to be any different.

You were just in the firing line and instead of him taking his frustration out on his players, he took it out on one of our players and your good self. If it was me he was speaking to i'd have given plenty back dont worry about that.

He even had a pop at me as i left the bar. We got beat 3-0 last season and i decided not to come into the bar to avoid the flack. I also had to get to a fireworks night with the family so needed to shoot quickly! On last nights occasion i did go in the bar for a drink and he had a go at me for deciding to come in to the bar on this occasion!

Water off a ducks back for me. Had 8 seasons of it which is why i decided to move on 3 seasons ago!

You wouldnt believe how good it felt last night to get the winner with virtually the last kick of the game, especially as we'd had a goal disallowed 2 mins earlier!

Come on you Cove!!

You know me JJ, quiet as a church mouse, as Duncs say it's not worth it, still we took the 3 points that's all that matters....Well done lads

Playing away from home we tried to keep it tight at the back so i played the holding midfield role and very rarely got forward!

You should all know by now that i only score worldies in cup finals!

We should have won by more, sorry to say it but Ash is like a ghost town where has everyone gone even the old stalwarts have gone.Bonzo is a nice lad but he lets himself down with his language(i'm no saint) and as somebody else said it is all a front,he would be better off dropping the hard man image and concentrate on putting things right on the pitch,I was told that Blason is getting transfered from Baggy Lea back to Ash,blimey that was a short stay.

Just watch this space

Sorry to hear the grief you got Medic (im was the one you shock hands with), all i heard was alot of shouting when phoning in the result, so cant comment, I have heard different stories but im not getting involved.

Thought in the end a draw would have been fair but cant take it away from Cove though

Aupostie, have a word with Mr.B.,Bonzo,he has upset Medic with his not so kind words. No place for this in Football, especially as the internet is a great place for relaying such deeds.Mr.B. you lost get over it.Hope you recover soon Medic.

No point having words. A leopard doesnt change its spots and this will be the case! He will just shoot the messenger!

Bonzo is too long in the tooth and will never ever change. (tried to squeeze in as many cliches as possible)

As a recipent of some of the abuse for years, i can tell you that it actually made me a lot more head strong so i actually benefited from it.

When i get abuse from opposing players, supporters etc etc i can now just let it go straight over my head and even give a bit back without getting upset or down.

Thanks Aupostie, nice to meet you and the rest of the gang at Ash. I spent loads of Saturday's when I was growing up watching Ash play, as my grandparents used to live in Longacre, just by the ground, so I know what a nice club it was and still is, still last night is in the past, I've had my rant and it's now time to move on. I await the visit of Ash to Cove and maybe, you never know I'll shake hands with Mr Bonner !!!!!!
