Just out of interest, can anyone update us on the injuries we may/may not have within the squad at the moment? Mainly as I would like to see all of

them back asap.

Apart from Stuart of course, Rudi appeared to go off on Sat with a thigh problem? Proths has an ankle problem maybe?? Deniz appeared to only last 20 mins last night in the Mickey Mouse Cup which is a worry as I think he is an important player?? Then there is Hammond who has been absent, and was very impressive against Leyton??

Going out of that cup is a blessing in my book as the squad need as much rest as possible outside of the league and two main cup competitions in what is a long old season. That said, good to see some fringe/back up players getting 90 minutes under their belt. The report of last night's game was a little odd on the club website, in relation to the players doing there best under the circumstances?? Was he referring to the ref??

Steve has told me that on the injury front we have the following :

Stuart , hopefully early December

Phil Kane , maybe Feb/March

Andy Jones - 4/5 weeks ankle ligaments

Ben Hammond - maybe a week on Saturday ( ankle ligaments )

Deniz Mehmet - was tried last night , but came off as a precaution as didnt feel 100% , so prob a week saturday .

Lee Protheroe may be fit for the weekend

Rudi , should be ok for the weekend

Paul Campbell , should be ok for the weekend.

Additionally although we all like to win every game , the only purpose of that cup is to get minutes for the lads who havent been playing week in week out. We now have a couple of weeks without any midweek games ( so long as we have no replay ) which will give us a chance to let some recover from niggles.

November sees the start of a run of games midweek for 5 consecutive weeks with another match yet TBA. This will take us up to nearly xmas so this two weeks of only having sat games coming up is much needed , as we have only played sat to sat only once so far this season.

Yep exactly, everything you've said is spot on fellabob. Thanks very much for the injury update by the way, much appreciated!!

Saw Jonah pick up that knock at the end of the Wood game, didn't realise it was so serious though. Glad to hear Rudi may make the weekend.

We are due a break from these injuries but must make sure nobody is rushed back too soon i.e Deniz. Additionally it's great to win cup matches but the FA Cup, MC Cup and Trophy have given us a 2 week break from the league which should be used to rest the key players from their injuries and niggles making sure they are fit for the league. It's a credit to the players and management staff that we sit pretty in the league despite all these obstacles.
