The Burger League

Okay, gastric juices to the fore. We have had two away games and the rating has to go through some thought.

At Aylesbury I thought the burgers were okay and there they sat at the top of the league (ho, ho) but on Monday we went to Bogner and well...Whate a fare of food!!! I thought the burgers were quite average to be honest but I missed the Premier Burger. An absolute meal in one burger from what I saw (a dissapointment that I missed it). One of our supporters had one and all I can say is it looked like a heart attack in every bite and that is what we want in a footie burger - (only joking). How I missed it I dunno but it looked like a half pounder with cheese and bacon thrown in for good measure. I was told it was quite tasty as well (hmmmm, considering that he was camping with Simon and their cooking skills were questionable, a East Thurrock burger from last season would've been a gastric delight!!!).

Bogner also had chips (a chip buttie was on offer, more about that), hot dogs, an assortment of other soft drinks and sweets. The crowning glory was the bread pudding. Oh well, now we are talking!!! I sampled this with a cup of tea (the cup was a bit small, enough to enjoy the pud with but none left for that following fag). I even had Sam (for those who don't know - Neil Matthew's (or Wiltshire's) girlfriend) offer a few mouthfulls as she couldn't cope with the bulk. Now those of us that don't know about bread pudding, listen and learn. Bulk is what it is albout, as well as taste and moistness. This was the dogs b*ll*cks, the queen of bread pudding.

It made up for the dissapointment of the chip buttie, which was a handful of chips stuffed in a small torpedo roll.

So, how do I rate our second outing's food fare? Well I would agree the burger was quite ordinary and I think that Aylesbury's shade's it on taste and quality but the Premier burger looked as if it would've done the business.

I think the decision has to go to Bogner as the bread pudding was just the icing on the cake (so to speak) and shades it in their favour.

So the league for away games food looks like this at the mo

1 Bogner

2 Aylesbury.

And I can't believe I have just written all this on food. Ah well, now where did I put my sandwich...
