Hartley 2-1 Westfield

 

Took the lead early through Weatherall but appaling defending from a corner led to the equaliser.

That big unit of theres up front scored a worldie in the 4th min of first half injury time - quite where it came from i dont know

First half Hartley prob the best footballing side i've seen all season. 2nd half i thought we were a lot better but couldnt get the equaliser. Went close a few time. I'm not one to moan about officials but the assistant referee on our side took great pleasure in awarding the most baffling offside calls against us in the second half and to top it off when our striker was hauled down in the box for a clear penalty ( even the HW bench agreed) he chose to flag for a free kick the other way. Utter plank......

Anyway 3 losses on the bounce for us

 

 

 

NON LEAGUE WHATS HAPPENING WITH WESTFIELD ? SO MUCH RUMOURED AND EXPECTED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, BUT IT APPEARS IT'S NOT GOING TO PLAN ? WHAT'S YOUR RUN-DOWN ON WHAT'S GOING WRONG OTHER THAN LOSING GAMES OF COURSE ?

 

 

Inconsistency - and silly mistakes defending. I can think back to the last two games and both equalisers have come from comical defending at corners I'm confident wer'e pick up on a run sooner or later to get into the pack of 8 or so that seems to top the league and an ideal start would be this Saturday against a side that could be title contenders come May South Park

Not Fact. The half may well have finished at 3.50 but I presume you checked what time it kicked off ?

Watched Hayes Gate-Sheerwater yesterday. Hayes Gate played very well up front but are rather average at the back. 4 -1 at half time game was over.

 

Sheerwater didn't look the same side as the team that I watched earlier in the season, spoke with their Chairman (i think) he said that they are on the lookout for a new Manager but have not had a single enquiry.

 

Amazes me that no-one fancies it down there. Ive always thought it was a nice set up. Is there anything I dont know about the club???

 

I also watched South Park twice this season and am not suprised that they hammered Knaphill. I watch Woking normally and I think South Park are better!!!!!!!! What a gem they have in their young forward.

 

HAYES GATE must have the worse defence in the division. think the keeper had 2 shots 2 goals. will always be goals at hayes gate.

Good day for Chertsey, with Camberley slipping up and Badshot Lea dropping points. I wasn't as impressed with Guildford as I expected to be, but they say it's the sign of a good side if you win when not playing to the max. They were helped on their way by a very generous penalty decision!

FROM TRS USUAL EXCELLENT VIDEO CLIP (VERY QUIET 'COS SO FAR AWAY FROM THE ACTION...NICE !) IN MY OPINION I THOUGHT GUILDFORD WERE VERY LUCKY ESPECIALLY THE FIRST HALF WHERE HANWORTH MISSED SO MANY GLARING CHANCES + THEIR KEEOPER HAD A GOOD GAME KEEPING THEM IN IT.

 

IF YOU LOOK CAREFULLY, THE HANWORTH VILLA DEFENDER GOT A HEEL AND NUDGED THE BALL AWAY FROM THE FORWARD, NEVER A PENALTY. THE LINESMAN WHO WAS DEAD IN LINE DIDN'T FLAG FOR ANYTHING, AND HE HAD A BETTER VIEW IT HAS TO BE SAID ! DID YOU SEE ANY GUILDFORD PLAYERS SHOUTING FOR A PEN ? ........ INFACT THEY LOOKED BEMUSED AT THE DECISION !

Conclusion: NLN ditch that Timex & get yourself a decent watch. It isn't worth losing a good ref cos you can't tell the time properly

Just watched this,Ref. in poor position to give a Penalty,25yds away from the ball,on the wrong side,to actually see what happened.Linesman ideally situated with a good view of the incident,rightly does not raise his Flag,as the Hanworth player clearly gets the ball.No Penalty.Why don't Officials work as Teams,they have buzzers on the Flags nowadays to make communication easier.But in this case the Ref. was not interested in even asking his Linesman.

a good win for sports on a very poor pitch gav bamford put us 1 - 0 up with a good run taking on about 5 players before putting it in the bottom corner.we went 2 up with a great 30 yarder from adam t the boy is on fire.we then had a goal not given for offside by a flag happy lineo

we then took the foot off the gas jay c add a 3rd in the 2nd half but could of been 5 or 6

sorry big r but i have to agree with briggers on this1, bore draw was an understatement

and i dont think the pitch helped atol, either that or all 22 players were on the booze the night b4, because some of the touches were shocking:smilewinkgrin: im a 63 yr old disabled non league surporter and i think i could have been better than some of the players on the pitch...

 

but i have gotta say the ref got himself in a right old pickle wen he stopped the game for a dorking freekick just inside the the homesides half wen there was a clear break on and maybe a counter attack on the cards, JUST LET THE BLOODY GAME FLOW FFS REF..... but!! the dorking guy must be kicking himself tho because you just cant do that THESEDAYS(crazy)

 

but i have gotta admit the incident near the end of the game was blown out of proportion and i think that was 1of the refs better moments, niether lad should have been sent of in my view, and the ref got that right from where i was standing

 

also have i just read that right that both mvscr's top goalscorers have left??? anyone??? if so mv are in trouble coz the 2boys up top couldnt score in a brothel on this showing.....

Have to be honest, on the incident at the end, I was at the far end of the ground, hoping to get some shots of all the MV goals hitting the back of the net, so not in a good position to see exactly what went on, so will take your word on it.

 

Holden was suspended on Saturday and is likely to be back in the squad for Tuesday nights match against Guildford City
