Sandhurst 1 Egham 1

Sandhurst were the better team throughout and created alot more chances but failed to take them especially 1st half. Egham went ahead agaisnt the run of play through Pomroy. Sandhurst equalised with a great finish from range from Dan Simmonds.

However, a point is a good one agaisnt a decent Egham team who will be top 6 this season. Sandhurst looking strong under Dean Thomas.

South park look like dark horses for title! Any truth in Ian savage becoming player coach at eversley!

Yes he has gone to eversley !

Was never a 6-2 game we dominated for long periods of the game and gifted them 5 ofthe 6 goals !! Shocking defensive performance! South park got very good forwards but they no way the best we have played ! They scored against the run of play first after we had a stonewall pen not given and a great strike from the little number 9! Got back into the game bedew half time but straight after the re start our keeper punched the ball into the back of our centre backs head and the sp forward had a simple tap in. From then on we pushed more men forward and they got us on the break.

Scoreline did flatter us, you were on top unitl we scored, then it seemed that all of your heads went down and you all started argueing. Then we let you back in the game by switching off from a corner, but you done the same from a free kick straight away in the 2nd half. You had alot of possesion but didnt create many clear cut chances, the young lad that came on is a real talent and glad he didnt start!

What i found amusing was the small bloke on your bench (think he's your assistant). Moan for whole 90 minutes about the way we played the LONG BALL (i like to call it hitting good area's), but it was clear to see that your defence couldnt cope with it, so why not play it if works. And calling us a pub side, even tho we were 5-1 up, even your players were saying i wish he would shut up its embarrassing. You've got some quality players but sometimes that doesn't make a quality side, we won because were a group of players willing to work our nuts off for each other.

Watched Hayes Gate-Sheerwater yesterday. Hayes Gate played very well up front but are rather average at the back. 4 -1 at half time game was over.

Sheerwater didn't look the same side as the team that I watched earlier in the season, spoke with their Chairman (i think) he said that they are on the lookout for a new Manager but have not had a single enquiry.

Amazes me that no-one fancies it down there. Ive always thought it was a nice set up. Is there anything I dont know about the club???

I also watched South Park twice this season and am not suprised that they hammered Knaphill. I watch Woking normally and I think South Park are better!!!!!!!! What a gem they have in their young forward.

No.11 played on the left, thought my days as a winger were over. But boss has made a new postion up for me holding left mid lol, thought you were one of the better players. Your strikers (who are normally a handful) went missing as did most of your defence!

Brunty....With Savage going...may be a blessing in disguise? You got some good youngsters maybe time to give them a fair crack now. Jack is a super player any more like him in your youth?

Who knows sav is an excellent player and will be a big loss. there are a couple that have made first team starts this season and more than held their own.

I prob put that wrong.....what i meant was you not started the best and teams are pulling away at top. Long way to go granted but when your playing catch up its always going to be hard. Giving the youngsters a go now at least you can start to build for a run after xmas and possibly next season?

Dorking 0 - 0 Mole Valley SCR

From a Mole Valley point of view, I thought it was a shocking performance.

We barely strung 3 passes together, and ball seemed to spend most of it's time in the air.

Don't think we forced the Dorking keeper into any save of note.

Sending off of the Dorking player was stupid, but the non-sending off of the lad near the end (surely hands-on an opponent should be an automatic red) was poor.

Have to be honest, i was thoroughly bored throughout the game, and if I hadn't been taken match photo's for the programme, I may well have left early.

We have to improve ahead of match against Guildford City on Tuesday, otherwise we are likely to get spanked.

So now I KNOWwho you are Briggers ! At one point, you were snapping quite near me at the entrance to the bar. I was wearing the DFC bench coat.

The final incident, on reflection was a 50/50. MVSCR player goes in hard over the top. Technically a straight red. Our lad gets the red mist. Definitely a red. What does a young ref do when he's being assessed by a Scotsman ? Splits it down the middle and issues a yellow to both. In hindsight, probably the right thing to do at this level of football.

Off to Meadowbank shortly to watch the Ladies, before heading off to Gatwick to visit the rapidly recovering Mrs J.R.

HOWEVER..... For your delectation, the official DFC report..................

An eventful game at Meadowbank on Saturday saw Dorking fight out a goalless draw with local rivals Mole Valley SCR, although Dorking boss Pete Buckland will feel his team did more than enough to claim all three points.

Without usual captain Tyrone Oliver and fellow regular midfielder Luke Reid, both injured, Buckland had moved midweek to sign midfielder Michael Che and striker Mike Bristow, and both players made an impact as Che started in midfield and Bristow came off the bench to good effect, Perhaps the most telling change was however at centre back, Joe Chandler building on his good debut against Egham a fortnight before to play an assured game at centre back, alongside normal Dorking striker Toby Fitzgibbon who was a revelation at centre back, winning man of the match for Dorking hands down. And with captain and keeper John McBride looking rock solid in goal, Dorking didn’t really look like conceding during this match.

Dorking’s task was assisted by the fact that MVSCR top scorers Holden and Page were suspended (Holden) and had moved on to another club (ex Dorking striker Phil Page had moved on midweek to Chertsey Town), but the improvement in the Dorking performance was marked as Chicks took the game by the scruff of the neck.

The first half saw Chicks miss a penalty after Martin Waldren was fouled in the box by the MVSCR keeper, who was booked rather than sent off by the ref despite a case for a red card. Billy Ramsey, newly returned to the Dorking side after a two year spell away, stepped up to take the spot kick, but scuffed his shot and the keeper saved easily. Then minutes later Dorking thought they had scored, but the linseman correctly ruled that the ball did not cross the line.

The second half saw more of the same, Dorking putting in a determined display and generally having the better of the play, Fitzgibbon and Chandler at the back soaking up most of the attacks MVSCR could throw at Dorking, while on the break Dorking looked dangerous. First Martin Waldren was put through on goal by Che, having an impressive debut, but his long range shot was pushed wide by the Mole Valley keeper. Then sub Bristow proved a real thorn in the away team’s side, his pace seeing Dorking often put pressure on the opposition goal.

MVSCR were creating chances of their own, Dorking seeing out several dangerous attacks, but as the game neared its end, the match proved eventful. First Dean Cox, already booked, and having won a free kick, for some reason kicked the ball away from play, the ref booking the player again and sending the Dorking midfielder off with 16 minutes to go. Buckland, perhaps feeling the tension as his side had seen the better of the chances only to go down to 10 men late on at 0-0 was then sent to the stands by the referee. Even so, Dorking thought they had won the game with 9 minutes to go, a fine cross by Ramsey headed in with the Mole Valley defence stranded, but to be fair, the linesman had raised his flag instantly before the ball had hit the net, and the effort was disallowed.

Dorking’s 10 men fought well, and the commitment from the side was first class, and Dorking saw out the remaining time to record a 0-0 victory in a game where perhaps on a better day, Chicks would have picked up all three points.

Dorking play Raynes Park Vale away on Wednesday 13 October, before a trip to Badshot Lea next weekend, who play at Godalming FC’s ground. Dorking Surrey Senior Cup game vs Bookham will be played at Meadowbank on Tuesday 26 October.

Meanwhile, Dorking’s unbeaten in the league Under 18 side’s match at Woking FC in the Surrey U18 cup has been postponed from this Tuesday, and is likely to be played the following week on the Tuesday.

Squad:- John McBride ©, David Suchy, Dan Evans, Joe Chandler, Toby Fitzgibbon, Harry Maneh, Dave McCann, Michael Che, Dean Cox Martin Waldren, Billy Ramsey.

Substitutes:- Mike Bristow, Gavin Jeeves, James Campbell, Chris Attree.

Hartley 2-1 Westfield

Took the lead early through Weatherall but appaling defending from a corner led to the equaliser.

That big unit of theres up front scored a worldie in the 4th min of first half injury time - quite where it came from i dont know

First half Hartley prob the best footballing side i've seen all season. 2nd half i thought we were a lot better but couldnt get the equaliser. Went close a few time. I'm not one to moan about officials but the assistant referee on our side took great pleasure in awarding the most baffling offside calls against us in the second half and to top it off when our striker was hauled down in the box for a clear penalty ( even the HW bench agreed) he chose to flag for a free kick the other way. Utter plank......

Anyway 3 losses on the bounce for us

NON LEAGUE WHATS HAPPENING WITH WESTFIELD ? SO MUCH RUMOURED AND EXPECTED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, BUT IT APPEARS IT'S NOT GOING TO PLAN ? WHAT'S YOUR RUN-DOWN ON WHAT'S GOING WRONG OTHER THAN LOSING GAMES OF COURSE ?

Had a few errands to run in the early afternoon but did get over for the 2nd half of the Knaphill/South Park game. I wouldnt say its Brunty writing 'boring posts' simply saying how it is. We are playing some good football 'at times' which unfortunately and clearly isnt enough. Im unfortunately still a spectator 8 weeks on, but hoping to be back in a couple of weeks. Its been a frustrating time seeing results not go our way despite playing not too badly but it seems every team in the league has got fitter and stronger and we dont seem to be matching the hunger of some of the teams we are coming up against. The quality is there and Tucks, yes there are a couple of very promising youngsters in the Youth team that should be coming through in the coming weeks, but it just needs to take that 1 standout performance, where we all fight for one another and put it in for 90 minutes as opposed to doing it in spells, just like we did against Wrocester Park. Going to be hard to play catch up now as the chances of putting together a run like we did last year are not as likely given the strength of some of the teams in the league this year. Thought since last year, South Park have definitely got stronger and maybe overall, yesterday you probably deserved the win. One sour note for me, and I have begun to notice this more and more because i cant play and have been watching, is your Manager was an absolute joke. The language he was using towards the ref and players and general behaviour at times was poor. One instance when two players went to kick the ball and your man clearly just got there first and took a little kick, no malice and didnt even batter an eyelid, your manager was shouting and swearing at the ref about it for a good 6-7 minutes after. If I had brought my 2 year old neice with me, which intended to initially do, I would have been disgusted. That being said, he's obviously doing a good job with you boys at the moment,, Molly and good luck for the season, top 3 for you boys I think.

That wouldn't of been our manager i can tell you, but have a good idea who it might of been, can get a little excited at times (u wouldnt want to stand your niece next to your own dugout either, as similar stuff was coming out of there mouths). Happens at most games dont think i've ever been involded in a game of football without swearing, i've run a kid team where opposing parents are swearing at 11 year old boys, sadly it happens. Look forward to playing at your place, nice bunch of players who im sure will turn it around.

Must say our ref this week was not as good as last weeks against AFC Wimbledon but it was not his fualt we drew 2-2. It was my players who missed a pen, hit the bar and missed 3 chances from 5 yards out not the ref. We as managers and players sometimes should think about what we do on the pitch before we berate officials...Become a ref no thanks I'd rather listen to Brunty........

Not an opinion a FACT - The half finished at 3.50

Just like to make one thing clear. Hartley Wintney v Westfield. 1st half lasted 45 minutes. No time added on for anything because there was nothing to add on. Typical biased fecking b*llocks.
